Another great update Peter, definitely precise work!
Awesome, keep 'em coming Peter 👍👍👍
They are good, it didn't look like they had to force it to compliance
Wow Plukky I just finished the other video you put out today and here's another happy surprise. I'm blown away by the speed of that crew. I had no idea that Vietnam has such good facilities. It's a very different place from when my uncle and dad were there, and I'm happy to see it. I'd love to see some adventures out in the mountains and jungles and the farm areas, if you have time. Looks like you've been editing a lot, unless your new lady friends are already trained 😜. Buena suerte, cuídate mucho amigo.
Love it, love it, Love it!!
beautiful
Goodonya Plukky! Great too it moving forward 🤙🤙🇦🇺
Kool nice work clean work place , great welders. Hmmm very interesting.
Bloody fantastic !
I think your coconut frond measuring system would have been spot on. Don't doubt yourself
Good to see the solid progress continues. Any chance of a video explaining the end game and the route to it. For any of the purveyors of comedy, i know were building an non ice boat to sail the world. 😂
Great update!
Nice work!
The access you are getting Plukky is outstanding and frankly very surprising. Good stuff.
Please keep these videos coming, Peter!! This is awesome!!!
ok...now I feel spoiled...great entertaining content. progress
love seeing the progress
Looking good Peter. Burlington Bill here!
Top stuff as always
Cheers!
Got to keep the comments going, LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, EMOJI 😁
Cant wait to see the progress each episode! you should get them all coffee and doughnuts (or whatever is culturally appropriate) to show your appreciation!
Just when I thought all of my happiness had oozed out of my pores from the video only 1 hour ago...MORE happiness is oozing again! Great job, Plukky From Canada
Day 18, they should have had plates on by now people.
Progressing really well, accuracy is spot on, modern laser cutting is such a godsend, looking forward to the next video.
It seems like i just watched this, oops, a little change here! Oh Cap'n, My Cap'n!! Stay close to the Penicillin!! LOL. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🙏🇺🇸🇸🇭❤⛵👣🤗⚘
I’m glad we have the professional crew on this and you and probably volunteers are not struggling in questionable conditions. How far the project has evolved given some development time. The wait was worth a superior build. ❤
Plukky I was just about to comment on the steel hammer until I saw him pull the stiffener plate off. Looking good mate keep the positivity coming brother!
That fellow can really get around with the MIG.
Great craftsmanship n glad they are there working on the boats supper video as always Jeff the Navy vet
thank you for the update! great work!
Nice going
Top stuff Peter
Great video Peter
Looking good Peter. Gosh that team is talented.
Progress Plukky 😊
you're making a great boat
Awesome work guy's 👏
Love the boat ❤
Really impressed with the video output. While you’re not wielding, you’re certainly working overtime to complete all the editing. Super huge effort to bring these insightful reveals of Ba Son’s aluminum catamaran building capabilities. No doubt you have many people now considering both aluminium as an alternative material and Ba Son as a capable and proven catamaran builder. :o))
Just a quicky. (No get your mind out of the gutter) why don't they use Lazer welders? Less distortion , no beveling , oxidisation before isn't a big issue. But two plates together and weld. 100 penetration on 6mm.
Plucklee!!!🤜
Bloody exciting stuff peter. Well done and be proud of what youre achieving.
So, why would they have steel tools in the first place? They sure are moving along once the have the material needed!
Good to see the progress, I'm more and more jealous each time. Just watched a walk-through of a Lagoon 51, totally different boat with a different purpose I guess. The Lagoon actually looked quite bloated after following you and your educational videos.

Coming along.
Very exciting. Loving the updates!
wow 😮
😎
How much will the Hull cost upon completion? Just the hull.
Nice work man
Hi! i was wondering if we could get an update video(s) on the winner/recipients of the old boats and how they are faring since. Much love.
Nice

😊Sooo happy for you. This boats your dream (now thank you it is your watchers too). Are you or have you ever considered a senior crewman?
not sure how those boys don't get 'arc eye'I know I do watching these videos
👍
another awesome video. Your Cats coming along . Now is it coming along on the time frame you expected ?
Plukky they are doing a fantastic job and it shows... Just curious what do you do when you are onsite.. are you there for the whole day or just a bit of time to film and then head home? This project is very interesting and I am folling the process with interest.
😀👍👍👍❤
Are both boats the same?

No...one is on the left
Alright already, enough tickin tackin video, lets see what's happening between the scenes. You must be busy sourcing sails and interior systems. Looking great, can't wait to see some 😂 planking 😂 going on. Are you aware of who's the owner of the bigger boat and have they any new orders coming in? Your video's are certainly advanced advertising of a class 🎬 act. "Nothing but quality peepole."😅
It'll be hard to forgive if you bang this thing off an uncharted reef. I don't think I can do that again!!
Tell me you thoughts plucky on a steel haul with automotive thick steel and foam core. So welded on the outside with ribs then glued foam then riveted on the inside. So it would be like 16th inch metal glue 1.5 inch foam core. The other idea I have for that would be to use a paint and cotton fiber like a bed sheet. To help hold the paint together. And preventing rust
@surfskate3

I also think that a thiner thread count for the fiber like the bag of onions that you can see through.
@SAILINGintoFREEDOM

Bad. Will rust out in no time at all....
WOOW what a progress !!!
Did you count all the weldings?
Plukky... One of your previous adventures was when your boat was stuck by lightning and it blew 2 holes in the hull. Was that not caused by the steel frame of the boat...? I remember something about a French design and an Australian build...? In any case, is lightning-attraction not an issue for the new, solid aluminium boat? Top stuff!!
@SAILINGintoFREEDOM
5 ай бұрын
No...it conducts
@FlyMeAirplane
5 ай бұрын
Well actually.... lightning isn't attracted to a boat based on what the boat is made of. If lightning is going to hit, it tends to hit the tallest object in its area. So sail boat masts are excellent at attracting lightning due to being tall. So if lightning hits an aluminum mast on a non conducting fiberglass boat, the current goes down the mast and then looks for a least resistance path into the water. If it has to blow up some fiberglass on the way to the water, it doesn't care. With an aluminum boat, once the current gets down the mast it now has lots of great paths into the water so it's not going to blow the boat apart. What it will do is blow the VHF antenna, mast mounted GPS and radar stuff. Anything on the top of the mast. The huge voltage pulse could follow its way down the Navigation light wire and into the 12V system. I think I'd put a surge suppressor on the line coming down from the nav light. Maybe one on the coax to the VHF antenna also.

@@FlyMeAirplane Brilliant, informative reply! Thanks so much! I'm sure The Plukster would have considered all your points in his build specs. But we'll wait for him to comment as the boat gets to those issues as the build continues. Many thanks once again.
Do you have a projected completion date?
Are you getting about amongst the locals? What's the night life like?
What's the go with the other boat?
Hi Peter, I'm Brazilian and thinking about building a 40 foot catamaran. Thank you for your videos. Did you buy the aluminum sheets right there in Vietnam? and the cutting of the sheets were done by this shipyard? Thank you and I wish you much success
👍🎣⛵💯
Hmm, might be a good day to get a haircut?
Where is this?
A question plucky, how does the front of the cat go with large waves. I’m not an experience boatie it looks like it is not meant to ride over like other boats.

Cutting through cool, I was watching a doc on how they changed the shape of the bow over time on some of the bigger liners and ships and was curious how this translated into sailing ship design. Fantastic watching this process unfold. thanks man@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM

What's all the stifna talk? If you sail alone too long you need more stifna? Moreover, it seems your video's lately are devoid of sand and watah ... where's the sand and watah!!!!! But seriously, can't wait to see the energetic new crew on your future boat, and Yes am enjoying your construction journey step by step.
Two Vietnamese girls in the ‘thumb nail’ one for each hull?
Keep the videos coming. You look as if you have walked through some Bush backwards. You would get a lot more respect from locals etc if you tidied up your dreadlocks.
