Hardly difficult to play, but it was "Holiday" by Green Day and "Rough Boy" by ZZ Top for me -- practising those 2 tracks gave me a creative boost and helped improve both mental and physical dexterity. It opened doors for me. It should be noted that it was the fun factor that got me there to start and it taught me that whatever it is that you are practising that it doesn't have to be highly technical to gain something from it. It can become a stepping stone of sorts. Something to build off of and boost your confidence.

I’ve been playing guitar for 6 months now and I’m only as good as someone who’s played that long but I would suggest playing Black Sabbath’s Iron Man. Only reason why I’m suggesting this song is because it taught me power chords and how to move through the fretboard without feeling like I’m bad at guitar.

I would add Grindavísan by Tyr. You'll need a 7 string guitar and Heri Joensen has a video showing how to play the solo. You would need one with 30 frets to play it exactly as the album has it but he does mention how to play it on one with less.

The whole of the pornograffiti album has definitely helped me with technique and even dialing in the tone I want from my amps. Obviously Van Halen 1 is an album I think inspires 80% of guitarists at some point in their playing. I love that 80s sound and the music that came from it. However one song that’s really helped my playing is SRVs version of little wing (the famous live version). It helped me train my ear to listen as I learned it all by ear
