Using balloons while fishing on the beach is a great idea. You can easily see how far out you are. It also allows the wind and current to get your line out there. Funny how many people ask me all the time of why I have a balloon tied to my line.

A cheap and easy rod leash... Take one of them old car charger, coiled up, for a cell phone. Ya know, the ones that were for an old phone that you threw in the junk draw, and snip off the 12V plug and the phone connection ends. Slide on a carabiner, fold the cut end over, like you did with the para-cord, and zip tie that sucker. Boom, a rod leash. And because its coiled and that coiled has memory, it won't get in the way. You can use it for your plier/snips, fish grabber, whatever you don't want to end up on the bottom of whatever you're fishing on top of. Great video..love the hacks! Stay healthy!

The balloon trick was pretty snazzy. Never thought of using that or a pool noodle for catfish rigs. Also, I never thought of skimming the party section at Walmart for glo sticks. I always get the ones out of the fishing section! That’s definitely a money saving tip right there. Still need to get a bimini top for the boat. And 1:10, who knew that!! 🎣 I never thought of using a binder and zipper pencil pouches for lures and fishing supplies. That’s a neat hack! I wouldn’t have thought of that lol

@@FishinNStuff here's a hint or tip you could pass on. I use tetherballs for buoys on fish traps they also make great boat bumpers between the boat and the dock. As well as the rare times I have to let go the anchor I can have one tied on the anchor line. So one tether ball can be used three different ways fishing related. I also use one at each end of my trolling line to Mark the ends. If it's an extra long line I'll put one or two in the middle just too supported off the Lake Bottom.

Another grand slam fishing hack video...especially the pencil pouch/ zippered 3 ring binder "specialty notebook"...absolutely brilliant!!! I already have 3 of the old style (aggravating ziplock pouch) notebooks for all my bass plastics...but will shift over once they wear out. But I'm gonna immediately make one for my halibut fishing rigs and terminal tackle...one for my lobster float lights (salt water)...and one for cat fishing rigs/tackle (fresh water). I found the pencil cases to be a good idea but I bought 1 gallon freezer slider closure bags to work better.

Went to Galveston a couple of weeks ago to fish. Several of the boats had the balloons attached and fishing with them. I had never seen that before.

As always another great hack! Definitely found a couple ideas worth trying. Back to school clearance, I'm going to be looking for folders and pouches. I have the big Berkley ones, but the zip lock sucks! Thanks for sharing and taking the time to create such great content!

Hook guards made from electric wire insulation . Strip it . Cut into small sections to slide over hook and barb . Different gauges for different hook sizes . ;)
