Looks like they're rolling out the Taurus slicktops. Seem to be the same light setup as the other unmarked ones. Also find it interesting that a decade old slicktop unit (halogen lights one) is still in service. You may not have noticed it, but this video has all three generations of slicktop units for post 2000. Nice work on the video.

That is life in the Big City. If you are a soldier you want to look like a soldier, not a Boy Scout. If you are a Marine you want to look like a Marine, not a member of the Tijuana National Guard. Real policemen wear dark blue uniforms, have oval LAPD style badges and drive black and white police cars. They do not drive "cruisers". And as a side comment, cops in California know hown to turn off the overhead lights when they get out of the car. Cops in Ohio can't pull to the side of a freeway without turning on everything that flashes, winks, blinks or rotates.

Man I just really love the LAPD light setups, my favorite setup is the simplistic slicktop crown vic setup

If only I could see more of those older gangs units and Crown vics, love the rotators and 90k sirens, they had on 'em.

Yep. They used it as the yelp tone. On a similar note, they Hilariously used the 1988 silverface PA300 recording (first used in Die Hard of all movies, shot in Century City) on the title screen of that same game...

It has been 21 years since I retired. Front wheel drive Taurus? At least the cars ar still black and white. Code 4, code 6 and code 7 still mean anything. Tell me they aren't still using "code 2 high".
