You have the exact same hair type as me and it's so great to see you go through your hair growth journey at about the same rate as me! The length you have now is right around my goal length and mine is slightly shorter atm but i'm getting there!

I’m gonna try the braided pony tail. I grew my hair out for 3 years this time around but my hair texture is very different from yours. I have slick straight hair.

Love the hair, all those styles look good on you. I always have to put my hair in a bun/ponytail whenever I have bad hair days due to how thick, poofy, and frizzy it is. My hair used to be super bad years ago but I've found hair masks, leave in conditioners, and hydrating/moisturizing/protein products to really help it get less frizzy and healthy. Just be careful to avoid protein overload as this causes hair to shed/break more.

Jesse what metal hair bands do you recommend?

My hair type is like Jesse's and I haven't gotten a cut in almost 3 years. Split ends and other damage appears to have travelled from the tips to about 4" from the root, so most of my hair now looks kinked, frizzy, and awful. I really don't want to cut it short and start over. Can a skilled stylist allow me to keep a long style? If so, what should I tell them?

My 12 year old son has hair that is past his shoulders. I think he’s at about 26 inches… it doesn’t seem to matter which style I try on his head, it looks very feminine… even the styles you show here look feminine on him. I’ve been trying to get more creative because so many confuse him with being female and it’s honestly starting to piss him off. 🤣 Any tips for what we could be doing wrong? He still hasn’t hit puberty yet so his voice is still Mickey Mouse-ish… I’m sure once it drops that will help with confusion, but I’m just trying to help him out in the meantime. We’re running out of ideas… ((Edit: Trimming, or chopping any of his length off isn’t an option. He’s very proud of his hair (confusion aside)… he doesn’t carry the length because he’s a beach bum, he carries it because of his Native American roots.))

Get rid of the idea that you might be doing something “wrong”. He’s 12 years old. I’m 25 years old… ALL hairstyles will look more masculine on me than him. If he’s proud of the length and he likes it, that’s the most important thing! It’s likely that long hair will give him a feminine, youthful look for the next decade or so… nothing wrong with that!

I. l o v e . Long hair. On men. However., since I'm older,..the classic pony tail , or a braid , ...please no " man buns " ... I don't know where that came from. But I find it tooooo wierd, lol.. ( since I'm a woman, and am more " Old School " lol. ) I think long hair is fabulous, when it's well taken care of and worn in classic styles. ( but that's me. I've loved long hair on men since the 70's. When I was in High School. Yep. Long hair on men is my preference. )
