I miss Mike. But it's a shame Erin didn't appear more when they were still together, because she makes great videos too.

Erin did used to appear in older videos before she got so involved in the Edible Prairie project, and before Kari was hired. She was much more hands on with the cattle.

I'd take Erin anyday. Mike was a clown. I remember when he started and knew nothing, still doesn't. I'd sure hate to look at the financials, I'll bet this place is so far in the hole.

Erin, thanks for taking us along. Good luck with "Gretchen". My 19 yr. old daughter & I have a small herd of 9 cows and 1st time heifers. So far we've got 5 calves on the ground. You are an inspiration to us. We are learning from your videos. Thank you for sharing and teaching us here on your channel.

Erin is doing a good job with caring for the new calves and filming the babies and other animals. That being said, who is caring for her children, the Edible Prairie Project, the meat and merch sales, the hay harvest if there is one, and the ongoing repairs and maintenance to the equipment, corrals, buildings etc.? That doesn’t include running the farm store or running the AirBNB once Mike moves out. Even with Kari’s help, she can’t do all that alone. I am praying for their entire family.

@juanitatorres9347 it's great of you to recognize all that Erin has going on! Thank you! Luckily, haying and calving don't overlap and she has hired the right support staff for both Edible Prairie Project and OWL so that she has time to make the kids a priority always, and still accomplish all that needs done, just as many working parents do. Women everywhere have been finding this balance for years, and I'm sure she appreciates your highlighting of many of her responsibilities that she handles daily with grace and humility. The Edible Prairie Project shows just how generous her spirit is, as it's founding principles are about helping local families with food insecurities.

Another great video and fantastic job working with the calf. I think you are doing a great job explaining what you are doing and what it does for the calf and why it happens or doesn’t happen. I know from experience that carrying a calf around is no small task either. You handled it like a champ. Who needs to go to the gym when you have work to do on a farm every day of the week. ❤the vids, you are not only doing a great job but you are proving all those naysayers wrong and I think that is the best part. I always hate it when people don’t give others the chance to prove themselves or at least allow them to fail and learn from it.
