Bad way to start Calving24 (Graphic content)
Welcome back to Black Diamond Farms. Well calving has started…. Not in a good way. Miss Butters was pregnant with twins(we didn’t know that). They both tried to come at the same time. Unfortunately we lost both calves. These times are never fun or easy. We all work so hard to keep mom and unborn babies healthy for 9months. We can play the what if game all day. We can’t change what is done now.

Right there with you. Had a bad goat birth yesterday, lost both kids and the mom. First kid was upside down, both kids had heads turned back.

Thank you for watching and subscribing! We currently are running 44 head. They are all angus based. Some of the crosses are simmental, Maine-ajou, and limousin. We buy some steers every year as well. They are all angus based as well.

With organic milking, what kind of feed / TMR do you feed? I understand some of the step to being certified organic.
Its a sad fact of life... if you have livestock, you are going to have dead stock... celebrate the wins.. God bless you
