Here is a list of the mistakes I mentioned:

3. waste time vs. spend time
3. "impatiently waiting" vs. look forward to
4. Meeting people (not places or things)
5. Too vs. so
6. "Excellent, your videos!" vs. "Your videos are excellent"
7. History vs. story
8. "The school of my son" vs. "my son's school"
Can you think of any other common mistakes? Share them in the comment section and let us know if you have any tips you'd like to add :)

Speaking of mistakes, in the video I totally forgot to explain something! Instead of saying "I met LA," you can say "I visited LA" or "I went to LA" or "I went to LA for the first time." And, for my KZread channel, you can say "I found your KZread channel!" Anyhow, these mistakes happen when you translate words and phrases directly from your native language into English, so just be careful with that... because direct translations are usually NOT what native English speakers say. Lastly, thanks to everyone's feedback, I learned that the "impatiently waiting" phrase is a direct translation from SEVERAL languages including Russian, Arabic, Polish, French, Spanish, Farsi & Portuguese. (It kind of seems like everyone BUT native English speakers say this... haha) That said, thanks to all of YOU for your feedback! And now... I'm impatiently waiting to waste my time making new KZread videos for you guys where I can share lots of histories and advices that will be too helpful with all of what you are trying to learn in the language of English! Excellent, your comments. I hope I can see you all in real life one day when I meet your city. haha :D PS. Don't forget to download your free guide on practicing English with native speakers :D Here is the link: englishfulltime.com/free-guide

Hello! Brazil Portuguese, we use "impatiently waiting" in the sense of "eagerly" not "impatiently" literally. e.g. "We are eagerly waiting for... ( nós estamos aguardando ansiosamente por...) " is more correct in the literal sense.
Congratulations on your style of teaching!!! Great! You speak fast, then you force us to do our best to understand you, hahaha...Awesome! Legit! Hello from Braziiiiiiilll!!!

Weeks ago I finished my business email with "I'll be anxiously waiting for your answer". They replied me on the same day!! LOL

That doesn't sound as demanding as "impatiently" but still unusual and not very positive. With business the standard (at least here in the US) seems to be "I'll be looking forward to hearing from you", which is something I don't think translates well to many languages.

"so" and "too" is almost the same I guess the difference is that "so" have a positive meaning and "too" a negative one: "I love you so much" "I'm too tired"
@fsujavi16

Melissa Alba Actually, “I’m so tired” is used more often. If you want to elaborate why you’re saying you’re so tired though, you could say, “I’m too tired to take out the trash.”

That is kind of true,if you say that I love you too much it means that you love more than you should. But you can also say that Ahmed's game is too good for John to defeat him,in this case it is in positive sense

“So” actually means“tan” in spanish. Like “estoy tan cansada” (I’m so tired) and “too” means “demasiado” and it shows an excess “estoy demasiado cansada” .

I was just going around KZread when a suggested video appeared, and for that moment I have been in love with your way and method to teach English...these videos are amazing, having a lot of interesting subject that goes from how to enhance our skills to how not to make overall mistakes. For the record, you've got an incredible pronunciation as i understand 90% of what you say. You're an excellent teacher. I wish you the best.
In Brazil we say "estou esperando a sua resposta ansiosamente" - "I'm looking forward for your response". Você é uma grande professora, parabéns!
I found your channel some weeks ago, and now I'm literally addict to your videos. I had never imagine that one day I could understand someone who is speaking English as fast as you. Your pronunciation is so clear. You motive me a lot because I usually don't understand what the people are saying to me when there are speaking in English, but the fact to understand you motive me to continue to give my best to learn English. Now I can feel that all I did was not a wast of time. I get results. And I will continue until I become fluent. Thanks a lot to you. To finish, I want to say that the expression "I'm impatiently waiting your answer" maybe come from french. It's a sentance we often use : j'attends votre réponse avec impatience. Thanks again, and hello from Paris !
Thank you very much for your videos and for spending your time for us!

Actually, the more English one learns, the more one develops a certin sense for what's right or wrong when speaking in English.
No puedo esperar para ver uno más de tus vídeos, sinceramente me encanta la forma en la que te expresas.
U are an amazing teacher! u sound so positive! I LOVE UR HAIR! U go girl!
This video was really very useful, thanks! By the way, the usage of " wasting your time " instead of " spending your time " by English learners derives from the reason for showing high respect and gratitude to you and your efforts to themselves. Maybe it sounds odd in English speaking countries but in other languages that English learners are using I suspect that it might work, for example in my native language Japanese it is possible to express our gratitude in such a way to others who did something for us. As for history & story, their origin is the same Latin word " historia " which derives from the Greek word " historia", therefore, they are doublets. In Italian the word " storia " means both " history " and " story " maintaining the same form.
@cristinapistol12

In Spanish and Romanian is the same: "historia" - means story and history. At the same time, you can also use other words, like: "cuento" o "relato" - in Spanish, or "povestire", "poveste" - in Romanian.

Thank you I didn't know about difference between so and too but I used it correctly without knowing it. In Russian language you need to say. In nowadays something happens. In English you can say just. Nowadays something happens. Second example in Russian we speak. Do you speak on English. In English it's easier just. Do you speak English. Third need to use capital letters for contries and that is account with them.

In portuguese we actually have a word for history (história) and another one for story (estória) and they have totally diferent meanings as well as in english. But as weird as it may seem, it is pronounced the same way so we use história for everything, even though estória still exists, it is used only in very old books or stuff like that. Probably that's the confusion with those words

Estória é o termo que usamos para algo que foi inventado como por exemplo: - "Meu filho inventou uma estória para não ir a escola". A palavra estória não é ultrapassada em nosso idioma, as pessoas hoje em dia não usam pois simplesmente não sabe diferenciar história (algo antigo) de estória (algo inventado)

are WE Brazilians. Nationalities are capitalized in English, unlike Portuguese. Also, you have to learn when to use "us" and "we." I'm not an English teacher, but an American writer. Instead of rules, I'll give examples. "We" of course is subject of sentence for communal "we" and is easiest use. "We went to the baseball game. " BUT; "The player threw the ball to us." "They played fireworks. The players were calm but there was great excitement among we fans." THOUGH MORE COMMON. "The players were calm but we fans were more excited." Again, I'm not a teacher, but I think "us" is used when they are the subject of actions. "The teacher gave us a homework assignment." The assignment wasn't popular among we students." That's to show how "we" is used after a verb. More common English would be: "We students weren't happy with the homework assignment."
