Ski and Rower arent essential parts of the training really, as long as you have a basic idea of the appropriate technique. Using the bike, as well as the running, for extra cardio work (which is where I find ski and row come in most handy) will be worthwhile - doing everything through running can be a lot on the legs. Overall strength work, upper and lower body, will carry over to the ergs to a certain extent.

You can create a ski erg by tying two exercise bands on a tree or high fence.... it isn't perfect but good enough...I use it with clients in the park (I'm a pt)

Great result with your 1:09 today 👏 how do you think olympia course compared to the excel ?

Thank you! Hmmm well Olympia was much more interesting / beautiful to look at. But in terms of the course itself, Excel was much easier for the running. 2 laps vs 3 and a bit, wider lanes at Excel, plus Olympia had some pillars in the running track. One good thing was the ordering of the stations though - it was pretty much in numerical order so it was pretty easier to remember the order in which to do things

@Rox Lyfe what would you say was the faster course taken everything into account including rox zone etc ? I'm not sure how they measure out the km runs and rozxone to make things equal at different arenas ?

@@lean2281 Personally Id guess Excel was slightly faster - only 2 laps vs 3, wider running lanes etc. Though the median time in mens open was very slightly slower but thats pretty minor difference and can be just a fact that people are generally getting better over time. Total run + roxzone distance is 8.7km so thats fairly standardised in terms of distance covered.

@Rox Lyfe is sometimes the 1km lap longer if the rox zone is smaller ?

@Lean Yeah. They don't say in advance though how long the track actually is.
