@Modern Classic Collectables Feel free to disagree, but it seems as if you've misinterpreted the point I was making. My statement was not about a motor being electric vs. gasoline or about the style of the car.

@@privateprivate1865 Simplicity? EVs beat ICE engine to market before ICE because they WERE simple. Engines have HUNDREDS of parts and about 70% of all that energy is LOST to heat and only a fraction goes to motivation. An electric motor has 3 basic parts and is way over 90% efficient - that is 90%+ of the power goes to the wheels immediately no waiting for a dumb engine to feel like motivating at a tiny bandwidth before it's useless again. - there's your simplicity - no WAY an ICE engine is simple compared to an EV. And if your act is together the "fuel" is free for life. I'm guessing you never took a ride in a Model S. EVs might not be for everyone but those people are going to die off real soon.🚀

I’m a newish member of the Jay Leno car club! Many years ago whilst just coming off air at QVC US I walked passed this amazing car that had arrived outside the garage set, then Mr Leno arrived in the studio, he was friendly to all, a real gentleman. Unfortunately our paths never crossed at QVC UK. Anyways, Ive always been a petrol head, my first car was a 1949 Daimler DB18 that I pulled out of a junk yard, and this was my daily driver from the age of 17. In 2014 I found advertised on eBay the very car that started my love of vintage and classic vehicles, she is a 1934 Rolls Royce 20/25 long wheelbase with a HJ Mulliner body, originally ordered for a Edinburgh based industrialist who kept her for two years, then she moved around Scotland before the outbreak of WW2. In the 1950s through to the 1980s she was owned by a company called Kingsbury Motors based in London, and they supplied cars to the film and TV industry, supplying vehicles for such iconic programmes as The Avengers and Dr Who to name just two. Our Rolls Royce was used in many iconic British TV programmes such as Dads Army, and the main car in To The Manor Born, and films such as the Secret Ceremony with Mia Farrow and Elizabeth Taylor. The car was in shocking condition after spending 16 years as a wedding car, so I took time out from QVC to bring her back from the brink, and she was working really well. But then I was struck with some mental heath issues and the car has sat in the garage for 4 years and I’d really lost confidence in my ability to drive or maintain her. Then I found this channel, and I’m not sure if Mr Leno reads the comments, but if he does I’d just like to thank him, as his enthusiasm has re lit the spark in me to be able to lift a spanner and get cracking again. Thank you Mr Leno, your a ability to lift the spirit is an amazing gift, and you use it well.

This car looks like what you get if you combined the best aspects of a AC Cobra and a Lotus 7. I have never seen the original car but this 'replica' looks amazing. When I was looking at the thumbnail I was questioning if this was some Ferrari that I didn't know existed.

This thing needs independent throttle bodies, that cast intake really kills the look, set of 8 bodies with screened trumpets would really set this engine and bay off. If I had the money to buy one of these, that would be my first addition.

@@thedefenestrator2994 yeah I don't understand it, I understand their philosophy going with reliability and just using a straight stock LS3 crate, but agreed, while the workmanship is extremely nice, the engine bay is completely lackluster (even if it takes someone 5 minutes to get into it with all those Zeus fasteners lol), they make classic/vintage style LS valve covers, they make readily available ITB'S, it definitely needs those things to make it worthwhile to remove all those fasteners to show someone what's underneath.... and honestly, those headlights kill the look as well..... I've seen their prototype, it has headlights hidden behind the grille, not these out of place things in plain sight.

That doesn't fit with the idea of the car. It's a modern version of the classic Troy Roadster and, even though it would look beautiful, independent throttle bodies aren't modern. You'd also probably have to cut holes in the hood to fit them, like the original did.
