@@AQUAHOLIC some great KZread channel references on "how to handle your Nordhaven" as well ("sailing MV Freedom) as these are capital intensive but true blue water motor and motorsailer vessels. By way of example the wing engine does not run on interior cooling and has a major design flaw in the cooling system that can all too easily and if not recognized/rectified flood your engine compartment "just for that time when you do in fact have that emergency" so not a small matter. This is quite the reasonable price for such a brand and excellent job pointing out how the idea of needing to change out the stuffing box was thought through in the design process/review/prior to the building process.
“Middle of the Atlantic”, “worst case scenario”, “do this and keep going” can’t say that about many boats. Great tour as always. Well structured.
What a beautifully maintained little ship. You'd think it's a 2021 from how clean it is. This is the dream though, right size for a couple or family and to have friends come and go, decent price, go anywhere. We love Nordhavn!

I feel he did when he opened a cabinet on an 80s Princess and found a cathode ray TV and VHS player. This thing had the old school landline handset style VHF etc. The sort of stuff that often sadly gets ripped out
Of all the types of ship you show on your channel, the Nordhavn's are the most desirable in my opinion. The idea of just going from anchorage to anchorage all along the Atlantic/Med is so enticing.

My “lottery fantasy” would be to have a vessel such as this and travel the Great Lakes in warmer weather, then transit south along the Atlantic coast for warmer climes when cold weather arrives on our “inland oceans”.
That is one of the most impressive boats you've reviewed. Not about size, not about luxury, just about a boat that is truly built and set up for every eventuality. Cross the Atlantic? Let's leave tomorrow. Comfortable cabins, enough lounge/dining space for all. An excellent galley, a beautifully equipped wheelhouse and an engine room to die for on a boat this size (and puts to shame a lot larger boats). Value for money is astonishing. All I need is a couple of rugs for the floors and I'd be totally happy.
My “classic nordhavn” senses were tingling
Your recent Nordhavn game is in top form!
What a great mini ship ! Long distance boating with reliability and plenty of redundancy. Nordhavn are truly practical boats. Brilliant tour Nick !

Nordhavns and Flemings are just wonderful expeditions ships, particularly the smaller ones, for a well-off adventurous boating family.
I've been looking at a lot of 50-60'' boats, but I love this Nordhavn...I'm less interested in going fast with supermodels lounging on the foredeck than I am practical liveaboardness, reliability and self-sufficiency. Good stuff.
Morning coffee and a Nordhavn tour, great way to start my day.
Proper ship feel on these. Really like them.
I could never afford most of the boats you show off, but used to sail as a kid with my grandpa, and so when I randomly stumbled on your channel its just become my new favorite.
I can't believe that all of that boat is worth less than a million dollars US. Worth every penny if you ask me. excellent tour.
The “Shutters,” on the port holes are called Deadlights. I do like a Nordhaven. Proper boats. 👍

That's what they were originally designed for. We used them to go dark at sea in a war zone aboard a naval vessel. Turn off your nav lights and you're virtually invisible at night.
CEO of "Dare I say it", "And in fact", "That sense of little ship feeling" and many more that we love.
I even touched this boat last week ! Me and my mate were looking for fishing spots in Southampton and ended up in this marina. I said to my mate that I watched Aquaholic videos and saw similar boat on his channel. We came out from the car and walked around this boat. Very impressive bulbous bow this boat has. Then we spotted another Nordhaven with a blue bottom which is stays not far from this boat I was wondering how this boat is inside and now you’ve posted this video. It’s like my small wish has been granted. Thank you for the video !
A welcome return of the "Classic Nordhavn"!
Truly timeless design. While having logged nearly 17 years and a crossing or two, this boat looks more than new, it looks as though it is right for today. And, I imagine, that will be the same sentiment heard decades from now. Thanks for sharing the tour, Nick.
Really love the fact the you go across board to show the 'smallest' (cheapest) to the 'largest' (most expensive) boats/yachts. It will increase you audience for sure
I do love a Nordhavn, it inspires the dream of setting off with some friends and not coming back until you're good and ready. Thank you for the tour.
Nick, when you reviewed Nordhavn 140 is gonna be one of the best day in my life.
@AQUAHOLIC

I hope one day!
The engineering is the one thing that spooks the hell out of me. On all vessels that is. When something breaks down and repairing it is your only hope I would be afraid Davie Jones locker would be waiting. In the middle of an ocean with no highway to wave help down.
I've got to say nick that this nordhavn 57 has surprised me, 3 cabins on a pre 60ft boat is amazing! The whole living space doesn't feel at all cramped, in fact it seems like it's a bigger boat. I didn't notice any entertainment pieces on this one but I'm sure there was something hidden away. A great tour of a "classic nordhavn!"
Love watching all of your tours of the multimillion dollar yachts, but really learning that if you want an, as you say, little ship for true sea journeys, you can get a lot more GO, and somewhat less SHOW for a lot less money. This is a factor that had never been a part of my limited, but thanks to you, growing knowledge of yachtdom. Thanks!
If I am not mistaken that is Hull#29 "Goleen". Be careful with classifying wing engines simply as "get home" drives. Many of them run the hydraulics for the the thrusters, and/or, provide auxiliary power via an attached alternator.

Ever tried on of those get you home engines ? Woefully slow , on a good day with the wind behind and no tide maybe 4.5 knots if you wring it’s neck , bad day and pushing tide barely making any progress if at all , it’s why I think nordhavn bowed to pressure from customers and now fit twins in a lot of the bigger boats .
This is.. dare I say it.. Classic Nordhavn! Absolutely brilliant haha
What an nice boat ...I was stunned with the amount of space in the engine room with such a relitative small boat

Fantastic! I love the backup engine, generator, steering, etc. Really great 👍🏼
If my memory served me correctly, this 2004 Nordhavn 57 Hull #29 "Goleen" was part of the 2004 Nordhavn Atlantic Rally (NAR) where 18 Nordhavns have to sail/motor their way across the Atlantic, and this proves that Nordhavns do have transatlantic range. Anyways, thanks for the tour, Mr. Nick. A lovely classic Nordhavn indeed.
Fantastic little ship. For a 2004 boat that engine room is spotless, I could spend many happy hours in there tinkering away at my workbench while a raging storm blows itself out unnoticed outside. Edit - Typo

Beautiful vessels. Way out of my budget, but I love dreaming. Also really like the engine room layout and space of the 57s. Very well presented and as stated great to to see it on the hard.
That’s amazing for an older vessel. Really well equipped. And an excellent price
How did I miss this tour! Nardhavn is my favorite
I really love the Nordhavn boats. Solid traditional boats. Thanks Nick
Can't get enough of these Nordhavn's Nick!! Please keep them coming!
The rear motor driving controls impressive 👍wow! First walkin salon. Waycool jr.
Great looking boat. Interesting to see the design changes over the years on similar length boats.
Admittedly, I'll probably never be able to afford to own a boat of any description, but that really doesn't excuse the fact that the one bit of this video that got me really excited is the little grey & red trackball that was visible to the right of the helm controls. I used to use one of that exact model with my first laptop absolutely years ago, and have since been unable to find another one, or one with a similar ball-on-side design, (and when space is restricted, a mouse just doesn't compare.) OK, sorry - back to the less affordable, but just as much unattainable hardware!
What a great ship! Might not have the luxury of many of the other boats you feature, but it is amazing and feels so much more like a machine that can win a fight at sea.
There are very few boats of this type and size I would consider owning, this is one of them. Once again an excellent tour.

Well g9rud, I beat you to it with a Lotto win last Saturday. However, don’t think I’ll be down to pick it up next Friday- win was just $25.80. Next time perhaps!
A lovely classic-style trawler - when the weather closes in, you’d be happy with your choice at the helm of this beauty!
I must admit I find these Nordhavns very interesting. I previously they were built somewhere in Scandinavia but recently found out they’re a US based company. I find them interesting because they have an old fashioned rustic type feel. Most modern yachts like Sunseekers, Princesses, Galeons etc all feel like the inside of a futuristic vodka bar, but Nordhavn certain has its own character. Just good old fashioned boats and I like that
@trulsvelgaard5153

The idea to the concept of Nordhavn boats are taken from small Norwegian fishing vessels able to survive the extreme weather off the weatherbeaten coast of Western Norway. That is why they called their boats "Nordhavn" which is a Norwegian word.
You are the best. I saw this boat on Nordhavn US website and did not give it a second look. It is your video that one me over. I think you are the everyman boat seller. Simple and to the point. You just seem to have the charisma for this job.

Bingo! "little ship feel" at 4:13 but no complaints! it's become part of the lovely Nick trademark patter now and I was looking out for it!
The moment I saw Nordhavn I knew would love it
I think my favourite video (so far) has been the Nordhavn 120 from a year or so ago. It was ‘classic Nordhavn’ but it had a proper little ship ‘feel’ on a big ship scale 😁
Perfect project boat because it’s been ridden hard and always left outside . Nice headliner drop in that last shot . Trans Atlantic crossings equals a lot of time on that engine.
The engine room is just " WOW "
Classic nordhavn and little ship, take me back to one of the first vids of yours I watched. Fantastic boat, the real deal.
I love the ‘Uncluttered’ look of the Salon/galley area
Before even watching, I'm predicting the best value boat ever seen on Aquaholic...
Poking a hole in the rudder to remove the prop shaft is a great idea.
Steering cylinders leaking badly, creative way of “fixing” them... nice little ship. Amazing range

It really gives a "Master of Your Domain" feel. Crossing the Atlantic would be... umm... stressful, one might imagine. But in a boat like that? Let me at it! That engine compartment's size surprised me. That and "Oh! It has a sink in engine room?!!" Sometimes I'm amazed at the little things. (Always love the fresh water makers.)
I really like these no-nonsense floating tanks packed with charm. If you want to go everywhere ... and be sure to get there - this is your means of transportation. Loved the tour, Nick - cheers! ;-)

Great review and absolutely fabulous wide beam salon. Second video review I’ve come across on Norhavn’s and I’m a fan. The elegance is classy and not pompous yet functional with an eye towards self-reliance and redundancy
A great tour! Since it's a Nordhavn you know it'll be an amazing boat.
Spring mounted exhaust silencer hangers @ 16:49. That's design detail :) Made for the high seas this one. Gale force 12..... batten down the port holes and bring it on. Love it, great review Nick. Thanks.
What I love about your channel is that you make non boaters, boaters! Thanks!
I have watched a few expensive motor yacht reviews lately and each time I hit the “Don’t Recommend Channel” button because of their fawning “critiques”, lack of knowledge of boats and absolutely stupid comments, eg “Lloyds of London windows”, “massive queen sized bed that still takes standard queens sized sheets!”. This review was quite the change, to the point, accurate and you sure know boats.
