#78. Holographic Beach - Multiple Frothy Resin Waves Over a Holographic Beach
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Holographic beach with two foamy white resin waves breaking over an 8 x 10 inch birch cradle board.
Beautiful turquoise and holographic water laps gently at a glittering sandy beach. I love how the holographic base creates so much depth, colour and movement. Watch the resin wave formation in real time with the sounds of waves breaking at Torquay.
I used Bondi blue from Colour Obsession, pearl white pigment powder and titanium white pigment paste, Art Resin and DiamondCote resins from Just Resin.

Thank you so much for your kind words 🥰 I'm definitely not the first to do a holographic beach 😉 you've been missing out!
I also love your choice of color obsession's bondi blue, the transparent light blue color adds soul to the sparkling white waves. Even the grains and glitter in the beach effect are more realistic than the real thing. I love it congratulations ☺

Thanks Emre 🥰 you always have such nice things to say
Master, as always, you made a magic touch. The bubbling and 3D realism is awesome. I don't know how to compare white pigments but when it comes to foaming you are number one in the world. No one can compare with you. Best regards 👍

Best piece yet 👍🏽 love the holo in the water as ur give an added dimension of movement, likewise with the glitter in the sand. Great tutorial as always Ax

@@Procrastipainter Thank you!
I tried this many times before and always failed with the waves. I think the problem was I didn't wait until 20 minutes later lol. Do you mix your white and let it sit 20 minutes also? Thank you, you're work is beautiful!

If you wait for your resin to thicken like cold honey it will hold the cells much better (the 20 minute wait might be longer or shorter depending on your resin). I mix one lot of resin, put it into separate cups and add each colour (including the white) so they're all the same thickness. Best of luck with your next try! Thanks for your kind words and for watching 🥰💙
Love this painting! Are you using a heat gun on the waves? Your beach pour is awesome!
@Procrastipainter

Thank you so much 🥰💙 Yes using a heat gun on about half heat
What heat gun do you use? I was using a great one, got great waves…then it died. I have now bought 4 guns and none of them work well.

If you look for a 2000W with variable temp that's essentially what I've got. If you're in Australia the Ozito from Bunnings works great
Where did you get the holography paper stuff. Do you have a link

I got mine from Spotlight. I think its the same as the Cricut vinyl if you can get that
As white pigment wht did u use

All the pigments and resin I used are in the description box. I used titanium white pigment paste from Just Resin
did you add anything to the resin to create the cells? thanks!
@Procrastipainter
2 жыл бұрын
Only what you see - Part A, Part B and the white pigment paste. It's the heat from the heat gun and torch that create the cells

@@Procrastipainter Thank you! I have watched so many of your videos and I would hate to show you how many failed attempts I have. I'm going to buy all of the exact products you show in your video. Would you mind telling me what heat gun you use (sorry to bother you). And thank you so much for sharing.

Look, I had 6 months of failures before I figured it out so I get it! Before you go and buy everything new, what are you using now? What brand resin/ pigment/ heat gun?
@suzannboylan1088

@@Procrastipainter First, thanks so much for the help. My heat gun is from amazon Seekone 1800W SDL-2816. Resin is as Tabletop. Pigment: I've tried just Golden brand Titanium white, as well as just Castin Craft, as well as various combinations adding Resi-Blast. Saddest part is I got it to look great once on a test piece of wood but could not replicate.
@Procrastipainter

Ok so is the golden actually acrylic paint? That's something I have to test yet to see if it works or not. I haven't used resiblast so can't help with that. But it definitely sounds like a combination I've seen others use with success - tabletop resin and Castin craft. Are you waiting for you resin to be thicker before you use the white? You want it like cold honey, which might be very close to your "working time". I swear waiting for it to thicken up a bit is most of the cell struggle. The cells from Castin craft might be a little harder to coax too. Also, try to lay your heat gun over so you're blowing a thin film of the white over the top, not digging in. Does that make sense? Good luck on your next test 😉
