755hp Roadster Shop built 1955 Chevy - LT5 + SPEC chassis equipped Hot Rod!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We hit the road with Jeremy in this recently completed 1955 Chevy 210 build for father and son, Trevor and Jim Doelling.
What started as a cool restomod/hotrod project unfortunately didn't quite hit the mark with the previous collection of mis-matched chassis and suspension parts for the owner, so it came to RS for an overhaul. We started with the solid, cohesive package that a SPEC chassis offers as the foundation for a cool '55 that now performs and handles as good as it looks, with the 755HP on tap from the GM LT5, 10L90 transmission, SPEC chassis, Fikse wheels and Baer Brakes. The interior received a new lease of life courtesy of Miranda Built in combination with some trick RS parts, steering wheel by Stitch Girl, Inc, Kia Stinger seats, dual Vintage Air setup and Dakota Digital Gauges.
See the full build gallery and SPEC chassis details for this '55 build HERE - roadstershop.com/galleries/tr...

Everything is just so clean. Looks like it was meant to be. The attention to detail disguses how you've shoehorned in a beast of a motor from 70 years in the future. You can't hide the monster, it's for sure a supercharged LT5, but tucking away the dry sump and PS reservoir, the billet valve covers and the trick serpentine system hides some of the busy nature of an LT5 engine bay while still letting that massive supercharger lid take center stage and let everyone know this is a primo restomod that means business. All while keeping the stock radiator support location and nestling all the coolers like some kind of magic trick. And of course a smoothed firewall setting a nice neuttal backdrop for the jewelry.... super impressive and that's just the engine bay. You guys start with and amazing vision, which in itself, is poetry. Still, it's the execution that always blows me away. Cant wait for the next one. Stellar job, fellas

There are cars and there are cars that have exceedingly beautiful presence. Not like Gisele but like Bridget, the one you want to come home to every night. I’m waiting for someone or myself to do a 56 Crown Victoria with a 3 degree front to rear drop, full Continental Kit a Coyote and 10 speed. VW’s Fresh Fuschia Metallic and Porsche White, Show Chrome All Around. Oops was just doing a Howard in the bathtub. Lol!!! Great Video Again Great Build Just Freaking Awesome!!! Thank You 🙏

finally a set-up where the throttle body & filter sucks fresh air outside the engine bay...i built something similar on an older Turbo SW VOLVO ,the empty space behind the front fender became a large fiber air-box & KN filter (with a small fan, heat sensor & gage) ..

Much like Hennessey is making some wild cars, if the Roadster Shop ever wants to build some of their own hot looking machines they should check out the Viper mid-engine Hemi V8 Hellephant concepts created by: Virtual Cannara. Great designs!

Love it overall! (engine/cooling is just amazing) But really not feelin' those modern looking wheels on the otherwise stock-appearing body. (Love the wheels! But just not in this application.) They're probably an extra $35-50K or so, but woulda been cool to see an 18-19" interpretation of a '55 wheel.

  • 9 күн бұрын

Love the Tri-5's but the roof height just makes the vehicle look boxy. I wonder if lowering the roof an inch or so would make it look more sleek
