I recently bought the Beats Flex to replace my Powerbeats 3 as my backup and 2nd pair of earbuds alongside my AirPods Pro. I was genuinely blown away by how good the Beats Flex sounded, for $50 that’s a steal

2:17 W1 chip is the predecessor of H1. It is not an upgrade, rather it is a chip with enough capabilities to serve nicely at a lower tier product.

Same, I got the beats flex for sleeping. Sound quality is just okay but mostly I’m listening to podcasts so it’s not an issue. £50 and type C was the winner for me.

Nice to see a review where your working out and wearing them... plus winter conditions... and glasses too. Makes it easier to see issues that would drive me nuts. Bonus that you guys are Canadian. :) Thanks for the help!

Used Powerbeats pro for like a year and a half. Decent pairs using regularly for daily commute and workout. Only complain would be the charging is now a little challenging when put back in the case. Sometimes it doesn't charge correctly, leaving one side on low battery. Sound quality wise it doesn't concern me much as I would listen to it only on the train or during workout.

I love the Powerbeats Pro for working out. My only complaint is that you have to have them 100% perfectly lined up in the case otherwise they'll be dead when you want to use them the next day after your workout.

I just bought the Powerbeats Pro for the first time and I'll share why: 1-Hook over the ear for me is required. Now I know they won't fall out 2-Volume rocker on each and if I only want one on I can choose either and now have to be stuck with the right at all times 3-Color: I picked up the Glacier Blue 4-True wireless. I cannot use the cords without them getting in the way

Great review. For the flex get some foam ear tips and it reduces the chance of them falling out as much.

Kudos to you for working out in the freezing cold garage just for this video. Those Flex buds with the lovely USB-C seem like an awesome value. But once you lose the wires around your neck working out is so much better especially if you do workouts that involve weights, jumping or running. Regarging that 1:00 argument: I've used my shirt collar for storing PBP's and it has worked nicely. Just use that ear hook and hook them to your shirt collar just like you would around your ear and leave the bud part outside of your shirt - problem solved. Just be careful you don't forget them there as they become unnoticeable pretty quickly!

I just wanted to know an specific thing about the B Flex but they answer so many questions and clarify so many important things that made me enjoy the whole video cause many other reviews miss a bunch of that

I’m considering the power beats pro, but I already have the air pods pro. The APP’s don’t fall out, but they get loose enough for me to push them back in often.

I have the Beats X and AirPod Pros. The BeatsX are basically the Flex with a module for pausing and changing volume. They’re my second pair because the first tore up, under warranty thankfully. I think that mic/pause/volume module was the weak spot on them and that’s why they ditched it. The APPs are my every day wear, and the BestsX are perfect for workouts and yard work

I’d love to see a comparison between the Powerbeats Pro and the Aftershokz Aeropex headphones. I have the Aeropex and I think they’re the best workout headphones ever made, if you like the form factor/design. Would love to hear your take on them!!!

I don’t do CrossFit or any gymnastic. But Ive tried these from Amazon and it makes me love my jaybirds vistas. They sound better, block out more noise, more comfortable, have an EQ and I do all my boxing 🥊 in them and they don’t budge a milimetre. The case is slim and small, feels great, strong magnet, i charge them once a week. Wouldn’t be caught dead in the gym without them. I’ve been using them for 6 days for almost a year If there’s a vista 2 im buying them and giving these to my wife or anyone who loves listening to music during the gym. Absolutely recommend them if you haven’t tried them. I have tried pretty much everything from Jabra, Sennheiser, Samsung, Im no audiophile but I love how these sounds especially compared to the Powerbeats that I’ve returned and AirPods Pro’s that I have.

MRE I think you should point out that you're essentially dealing with 3 pieces of a product (each earphone plus the fat charging case) when using the PowerBeats PRO, while the other two earphones you're just dealing with 1 piece. The convenience and less-to-worry-about aspect of that can be something worth considering to most people when having to carry around a headset while they're out. With that said, I chose/use the Powerbeats (4) Wireless, in black. They work well for me during most workouts, cycling, running, and especially just every day if I'm out and about. I also use it for video calls and during studying. The convenience of removing them and not worrying about where they are is such a plus when compared to true wireless buds like the PROs. Plus I got them for cheaper than MSRP from Amazon for $129 as of this comment.

I use an aftermarket silicone ear hook for the AirPods when working out. It’s great. Only downside was that I have to remove the hook cover from the AirPods after each use to put them back to the charging case

I have the beats flex and they’re great for 50 bucks. Only gripe is doing anything like laying down where they fall off your neck, or benching where you’ll feel them sliding down. For 50 dollars, they’re a no brainer

I want something like powerbeats pro but has built in memory (mp3 player) + bluetooth I do not want to change the music from my mobile when I am running I do want the extra bass that beats offer I used to have Sony NW-WS623 years before and you can even use it while swimming how ever they are obsolete now I have Promate divemate right now but the battery is almost dead. Do you have any recommendation for me or should I just go with the powerbeats pro ?

Since a lot of us are working from home bc of the pandemic, I’d love to see you guys make a review of some good, all-around versatile pairs of earbuds testing their functionality on web call services like Zoom, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, and regular phone calls, as well as sound quality for music streaming on popular music services like Apple Music & Spotify, along with battery life and the many other technical features. I think there are a ton of people out there that could tremendously benefit from having a nice pair of wireless earbuds for work and other everyday use while they are trapped in their homes!

Powerbeats pro is great for working out but in long term use there so much that goes wrong the charger case breaks down or get lost and replacement cases ain’t available unless you buy a compatible case that from an outsourced brand. The ear buds might charge one side and the other could get less charge. I end up using my older Powerbeats and just seem to have less inconvenience for long term use for the cost of the product.

I have the beats flex and the AirPods Pro and truthfully, I don’t hear much sound quality difference besides ANC obviously. I LOVE the price of the flex (I got them even cheaper than $50 at target) and they’re very very lightweight and convenient. I use them more than the pro’s because they’re just more convenient and they seem to stay in my ears better than the pro’s do in day to day work. I still love the pro’s for the ANC on planes and loud transportation as well as fitness plus but other than that, I would buy the flex again and again

Good video! Just wanted to point out that the W1 is the predecessor of the H1! Therefore the beats flex is not compatible with automatic switching between ios and mac 2:16

Just get the Beats pro on discount out of the 3 if you can. I used to have beats pro.I really liked the way they look,variety in colours,volume controls and battery in the pods themselves. The reasons i gave them away for the Airpods was the lack of ANC,they werent as comfortable in the ears for me as the Airpods,the bulky case was annoying and believe it or not,they are nowadays more expensive in my country than the Airpod Pros.

The h1 chip is actually supposed to be an upgrade to the w1 chip. That’s why airpods 1 use w1 and airpods 2 use h1.

When do the case reviews start for the 12 pro Max? Maybe lifelroof fee.....I think you like it more then ever

I went through 2 pairs of BeatsX (which are just like the Beats Flex) and I will never buy corded wireless headphones ever again. My wife’s were barely used and they still lasted her just over a year. The good thing w/ the Flex is that they’re $50 cheaper than the Beats X were.

I had major major issues with the power beats pro dealing with the charging case -.- it was so damn annoying to put them in the case expecting them to be charged and only one would be charged. Honestly only had them for a month and a half before I got mad returned them and bought the AirPods Pro’s.

The Anker Soundcore Spirit X are a pretty good set of cheap workout headphones. Insane battery life and fully waterproof. Meh sound quality, but like Val said in the gym it doesn't really matter. The wire can get annoying if you have a bar on your back, but otherwise it's not too bad

I bought the Power Beats Pros and returned them as they hurt my ear when I you pushed the buttons .. I really wanted to like them .. The Beat X ( aka original Flex) are the most comfortable in ear headphones I’ve ever had with the wingtips.. I wish my Jabra Elite 75 were as comfortable ( keep coming out of my ear ) when I move thus the consent pushing in the ear hurt

Like your videos. I picked up the beats flex. I think they are USB C because they are fully supported cross platform with the beats app. Airpods features are not so lightening. Great video. Beats flex good for movie watching in bed 😂

Yeah. It’s a silicone AirPods Max cover if you wanna buy it on Amazon.

I used to be of the opinion that sound quality doesn’t matter with workout headphones, but I was so underwhelmed by the sound coming from the Powerbeats Pro, it changed my mind. For a $200-250 headphone it’s really lacking the driving depth of sound that pushes you through the hard parts of the workout. You know that part where the music picks up at just the right time and you click it a few notches higher to feed that audio juice into your ears? The Powerbeats had none of it. The sound was completely flat and lifeless. For the price, that’s just not adequate and I had to return them.

This is a 3 year old video, so commenting is a bit moot, but i do have a solution regarding the issue with the Beats Flex while working out (flapping about and getting in the way), that might be very useful for someone contemplating purchasing them. There is a very simple solution for this. As the wires are very long , just turn the neckband upside down, and cross the wires so the buds fit properly. Now the wires are out of the way, and they won't flap around as much, as they are now a bit more locked in position.

I work out with Apple pro and haven’t had any problems

Airpods Pro or Powerbeats Pro?

I am certainly looking at the Powerbeats probably pro, simply because although I have a set of cheaper in ear Bluetooth head phones, which have a perfectly adequate sound, I am constantly having to adjust them when I use them whilst working out. But may not end up buying any because the gods have conspired against me and I now have to spend getting all the tyres replaced on my car...

No matter what I do I can’t get the Powerbeats to fit in my ears or the Powerbeats pros in my ears! Am I the only one here?

You over payed for the replacement. I lost one of my buds, then later found it. I payed $80 for the replacement. Plus reg price now is like $200

I have used the Power beats pro for about a year. My only issues so far is that the rubber ear hooks is coming lose from the plastic portion of the buds, the wire mesh in the head phones has fallen out and one bub has lost about two hours of play time over the other. I might give the AirPods a go once these give out. My wife got a set around the same time and they have had no issues.

Get the AirPods Pro and save your time. It’s just the better overall wireless noise cancelling earphone!

I bought the flex for $40 to leave in my car as back ups to my AirPods when I accidentally leave them at home. I don't use any for the gym. I bought galaxy buds for the gym. I don't find the power beats appealing.

I used the Powerbeats 4 for almost two years and they worked so well for workouts even while running. The sound never skipped or went mute in one earpiece. Tragically, I put them through the wash and dryer by mistake recently and don’t feel they’re safe to continue using. I still don’t know the extent of the damage but they actually do power on, connect to my devices, and have clear sound coming from both sides. That brings me to your video because I can’t find the Powerbeats 4 for sale anymore. I will most likely purchase the Powerbeats Pro to replace them. The most important features for me as someone who listens to music while exercising are secure fit, sweat resistance, and volume controls on the earpiece.

6:05 not true for me at all ... i just put the mask on and then put the powerbeats pro after .. and vise versa if i want to remove the mask which only happens once i leave the gym again ... so really not a big deal ... for me the interfierence between the two is negligeable.

Agreed. If you take the mask off by pulling the top strap straight backwards over and around the top of your ear it comes off easily tooz
