$75 Glarry GP Bass 3 years later... This might not be so bad...
Музыка
3 years after this bass made its debut on the channel i was asked the question was this a sound purchase. Should i invest in a cheapo bass to learn on or save up for something "better" in the future. My answer... No better time than the present...
Like, Subscribe and comment but most importantly SHARE AND HIT THE BELL so you can know when the next video will be uploaded. YES, I know its dumb but that's how it is. So till next time ... ....Be easy. If you care to get to know the guy behind the bass check out my second channel. I put all the other stuff i like to do on that one.
Thank you for watching more content coming soon..

Less than 2 months ago, I bought the short scale Glarry bass. The GB. (Bronco copycat.) Gave like 67 for it on ebay. I took out its stock pickup, and replaced with a 50s p bass styled pickup and changed the cap from .047 to 0.1 Currently enjoying it.
Just got my fourth glarry bass... I love them
I own 2 and love the Glarry.
One thing I really like about the is that they are great for your first modding project. You can slowly replace things, and if you mess it up it's a good learning experience without destroying and expensive bass.
A big thank you for making these videos on these Glarry bass guitars. I had not touched a bass guitar in over 25 years but thanks to you I just bought a left-handed Glarry bass and I am very happy with it. Thanks again
Love your videos man keep them coming.🤙🏾🤙🏾
Thank you so much
I have two Glarry basses in burlywood natural finish. One Pbass, and one GIB version. I love them. They've up quality control and really aren't that bad now.
Thanks for making these videos. I sold my bass years ago and wanted to get a new one for cheap but didn’t want to even bother if it was going to be crap. You made me go ahead and pull the trigger. I ain’t gonna sound like you though bro! Subbed
I actually couldn't find any reviews on these basses from actual customers which bothered me. All the reviewers have been sent the bass by Glarry & I suspect those basses sent to reviewers have had a strict quality control inspection before they were sent. I bought the Jazz version & after a set up & filing ALL the fret ends smooth it's an OK bass. Moral of the story is if you can set up & do a little work yourself then these are a good buy but if you have to get a luthier to sort it out it will be false economy. On the plus side I like mine & to me it sounds great after the set up & filing work🙂👍
I have one of these basses in Yellow. It's the perfect color yellow too, it's not too loud and in your face, it's more like a old vintage mini cooper or something. Love it, the neck dive on this bass is bad, but apparently they fixed that on the updated model. The only thing I'd change on mine is probably the pick ups, they just don't have the power or tone. Overall though I feel super comfortable playing this bass, it's super simple, it's hard to not like a P-Bass for so many reasons, and if you can slay on a simple bass like this that's all that matters. Check out their new models, they just released a few new designs, one of them looks like a Fender Jaguar copy.
I bought a jazz bass, natural color I have had it 2 years and it a great bass for the price. I put Roto Sound strings on it and Seymore Duncan Jazz Pick-ups and a new pick guard. I love it I have giged with it, love the sound and it is light and sounds great.
Thanks for the review. I play the sax but want to try the bass. I will buy it based on your review.
I have 3 of Glarry's basses and after a good setup they play great. I do recommend getting the GPB II over the original, it's money well spent. You're 100% correct on resale but you could donate it to a church or a local school band. Just be sure that it's properly setup and has a fresh set of strings on it.
Sounds great 👍😊
I saw your videos on that bass it sounded pretty good
That was my first bass and I loved it, can't believe it can be that price
Cool video my bro.
You are a good man! I really like you & your video. You are a tell it like it is guy. Not like the purest guitar snobs.
i bought this exact bass in natural wood color and white during the pandemic. It's been fun, the great thing about a bass is you can pick it up, jump on KZread and learn some really great songs in a short amount of time. The only problem I'm having is the tone doesn't always match what I'm watching, I struggle with alternate tuning. Might need to change the strings. I got the package that came with a bass amp. It hums like crazy, I advise people to get the bass alone.

Some of the hum might be the grounding wires in the bass. Which are easily replaced. Just need to do a little sodering.
Nice Bro , I got to replay this video I got to watch you jam out again love the beat. I play bass as well. I have the midnight blue geo Ibanez and a black fender with a white plate similar to what your playing
I just bought the Glarry Burning Fire HH bass the other day, it should be here by Monday. Fingers crossed that it turns out well 🤞

@@dynamicdave121 How are the electronics? You can only get so much from watching KZread reviews on it 🤷 Edit: Im still waiting on FedEx to finish dragging through the desert and get it to me 😑
It sounds perfectly playable. To be fair, in your hands a plank of 2x4 with four lengths of paracord stretched along it would sound good 🙂
Bully The GOAT
It's a great practice bass ( if you play out ) . That way you're not putting anymore wear on your main / 2nd bass strings ...
They have a 6 string bass coming out soon
Great. Bully can you make the same movie about white bass ?
I just got a fretless Glarry P-Bass for 95 bucks TOTAL shipped to my doorstep and that thing is pretty darn great for NINETY FIVE DOLLARS. Seriously - that is insane

I just bought a fretless one from them as well for $95, incl shipping. I have short (Hofner violin) and 34" (Fender Jaguar) scale basses and I didn't really need a bass but have wanted to check out fretless playing and at 95 bucks, I couldn't say no.
Lets goooo
Even if the bass was only $65, if I drop it, I'll cry.

@ZogDestroyer420 you never had a case of " butter fingers"? I know I have. So far, never with a bass, but if I did...
im surprised that you dont have the 4 string glarry GIB
Where did you get that gorgeous guard that you got on the way? You're glar ray that you've Gothe white one. That blue guard looks amazing.Look i'm on there
The most recent iteration of these P and Jazz basses are different than the first wave, the necks have a slimmer profile, much smaller frets and ceramic magnet pickups. Fit and finish is still rather random and sloppy. My GJazz II came with an unplayable twisted neck
Well ... I have played metal guitar for 30 years, I played bass for my uncle's band for 2 years as a teen while still playing guitar for my band. I've wanted to pickup bass again due to both my boys and one of my daughters are interested in guitar or drums and I have them available for them plus they have guitars of their own. Is a sub $100 Glarry going to be enough for me? I don't have any obsession with brands and my son has a Glarry burning fire guitar that sounds amazing!
Not sure I love the tone very much. Still, it's a bass tone - not the sound of some toy. It's amazing the improvement of entry level basses over the last decade or so. Imagine buying anything usable in the 90s for a hundred bucks ?

I have a lot of respect for what you said @ time mark 1:05 about documented problems. It seems like your bass had issues that you were able to correct. One thing to know, is the same Chinese factory that makes Glarry bass guitars also makes the same bass guitars with other brand names on the head stock as well. They all have issues with high frets as well as a high fret board (sometimes called a high tongue) where the neck meets the body. Other then buying a new neck, sometimes the only way to fix the issues is to raise the string height at the bridge, and also put a bit more relief in the neck to off-set the high fret board at the body and other high frets that can not be filed and crowned. This of course makes the string action very high and the bass harder to fret. Glarry still makes bass guitars with these flaws, and they really don't care about any of it.
One cool cat!
I sold mine for $80 lol. #Winning
I came home with a new bass. Told my wife 'It was a good buy.' She told me 'Good bye!'
If you could find one for cheap....🤣🤣 holy shit, how much cheaper is 75 smackers for an ok bass to mod!!
It's a Glarry's jazz bass. $ 109.00
Bully's son: "I play bass man!" Bully to son: "You don't even play the one in your room!" Bully's son: "Yes I do!" Bully: 😳
