Redgum and smokey black resin infill and live edge coffee table.
This 120 x 95 cm commission piece was what kept me busy this time last year during the first Victorian lockdown. There was so much time in between steps. The resin needed to set for at least a week before I could sand it back, or be firm enough to work on the next step.
The client wanted an infill corner AND a live edge so this is a very unique piece. I love the deep red of the redgum under the resin, and the custom see-through live edge infills with the wood texture. Sorry the photos have so many reflections in them - it's like it's completely covered in glass!
I had to wait 7 days for each layer of the resin to firm up enough to sand it back each time so this took MONTHS!
I used Art Cast Slow from Just Resin, MegaPour from Barnes, and StoneCoat Countertop Resin from StoneCoat.
