726 Oh Boy...That's NOT Good. Kubota LX2610 Compact Tractor. You NEED Tractor Insurance. 4K

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

You bought the tractor. But did you insure it? Did you know your Homeowner's policy does NOT cover your compact tractor. Some companies will offer partial insurance as a rider on your policy. Do yourself a favour - check the price and coverage from Kubota, and from your current insurer and if you live in Canada, compare them to the Tractor Protect coverage and pricing from Duliban Insurance. I chose Tractor Protect - far more coverage, similar price. I am NOT sponsored nor receive any compensation from any insurance companies. But I know lots of subscribers in our GP Outdoors community just bought their very first tractor this year and I hope you have considered it. Cheers and be safe my friends!

Great advice on tractor stability, my friend’s son is a professional equipment operator, he told me to allways remember “if you feel the tractor tipping, immediately put the loader down”! When I move loads, my hand is on that stick ready to,push it forward.

Yes but most little tractors have quick removal loaders. My Kubota does and if all goes well it takes less than five minutes to take the loader off or put it back on. When mowing I usually take the loader off. Without the loader the tractor is much smaller in size and easier to manoeuvre around obstacles.

Good Morning GP: Were in the same boat here Montana. It’s been very warm and dry here and very little snow. When it does snow, it melts off quickly. I’m glad the viewer is okay. I also have liquid ballast in my rear tires and I typically run with a ballast box on the back.

I put 2" wheel spacers on the back of my B2650 to help with stability. It made a big difference and also allows tire chains to be installed without getting into the hydraulic lines or fenders.

Winter is coming GP! Thanks for the four tractor safety tips. I had a close call the other day with the loader off and the backhoe still on. I received a comment on the video to use the backhoe bucket to keep from tipping, but as you said if your new to tractors you may not know this. Thanks for sharing, cheers, Mike.

Its been the same for centuries. Here in the lower 48 states. Back in the 1800s the Donner party lost many lives going on their journey to Utah. In the early 1920 according to history was a big snow that took some lives and a lot of cattle was buried in snow drifts and froze to death. Now, I'm only 61 years young but here in north central West Virginia I remember a huge snow in 1977. And our high school was closed for a couple of days. Our Winters are normally very mild but in 1993 we had a blizzard with 5 feet of snow and negative temps. I was stranded at work and couldn't get home for three day. This was in mid March. Its hit or miss, some call it climate change but I believe it has always been that way.

Good tips on tractor stability. When i bought my B7800 in 2006, I asked my home owners ins. agent about insurance for the tractor should I have an accident such as rolling it over. He chuckled and said "We aren't going to cover your stupidity". Sounded harsh at the time but to this day, the Kubota has had the shiny side up and I've learned a ton about tractor safety along the way.

GP nice video. Weather is the same here in Southern Maine as in your part of the world. I watch for the migrating geese and have yet to see large flocks of migrants. Migrating geese is a good indication of the winter we will have. It has been very warm for this time of the year. I am trading my B2650(cab) For a BX 23S with a Curtiss Cab. I realized now that I no longer own 90+ acres of land, the B2650 is just too big for 3+ acres of land. WE want the small backhoe to plant pine trees around our property, clean out a drain, and replace the crushed stone around the house. I also feel the B2650 with the cab to be a bit tippy and I have hills around my house and at the end of the driveway. Thank you for all of your words of wisdom you have helped us a lot to understand tractors.

Not as much snow as last year but I had a few 6am seat times in the Kubota. Oh and a little old timer looked me in the eye one day and said “ only two things in this world you can’t control …women and the weather!” I live by that belief.

I understand missing snow for sledding/snowmaching, but from fairbanks Ak where this year first snowfall was the third of October, and it hasn't, and won't get warm enough to melt again until end of April to beginning of May... I wouldn't mind some warmer weather right now. I do understand ditching a snowmachine if you have to pay a yearly tax on trails, over and above the tax on gas. I hope that poor guy who rolled his tractor has a better month ahead of him. Keep safe out there!

Owning a tractor is akin to owning a motorcycle. There are those who have fallen with their bikes, and those who haven't yet. Same thing with the tractor. There are those who have tipped over , and those who haven't yet. I built my own BX23S cab for my tractor. I used 1/8 inch thick metal and it is built in the likes of the deluxe Curtis cab. Thing is top heavy but would survive a zombie apocalypse!!! Because of that extra top weight heavy, I had to add wheel spacers to make it wider and also filled up the I would have needed the FEL last winter but like you Gordon, I had it buried under the snow covered tarp. This year, I'm ready for good. I built an enclosure to keep all my attachments in one area, out from under the wet weather of the Maritimes. What I like about it is that I can open the door, roll right in, pin it, then use it freely!!! One thing I liked about the Kubota purchase was the included insurance for the duration of the loan. No brainer. Once it is up, I will be adding coverage on it for sure. We are human. We are prone to make mistakes....over and over and over... lol Have a great day my friend. ☺

GP the two things you forgot to mention. are that the new series tractors have been narrowed without turn out wheels and the other was that they sit handsomely higher which when put together makes for a unstable tractor.I myself for myself and tractor on its side with the rope and rear blade keeping it from going over.Awsom tractor but they have suffered a loss😮

The small tractors even the big ones aren't great at "side slopes". If you use a tractor to work there'll be a time when you have to deal with a side slope, the tractor I used to mow with had no loader and the wheels were turned all the way out as far as they would go so it would have the widest footprint possible. It would be better off than those little tractors but still dangerous. Those guys cutting the banks on the highway are set up for it but even they still turn over, so be careful. It only takes one accident to lose your life. That the reason I don't want to be an equipment operator, or want my kids doing that.

Passes are $207 bought early. It is beneficial, and a second cost, to get a trailer to take advantage of trails further north, Gravenhurst or Parry Sound or Sudbury, all have longer seasons.

Snowmobile 😂..Here in Mirabel, Québec. Those types of winter toys are not a wise investment anymore. Better with an ATV and put tracks on it. Can use it all year long. ✨❄️👋🏼❄️ Be blessed. ❄️

Also when you're carrying a load down an incline you should drive backwards down the slope with the load above you. If not you risk losing the load.

I find the LX top heavy and not very stable at all on uneven grounds.Great idea on the wheel spacers, unfortunately they won't clear the mower deck if you have one installed.

This is my second season for my Cab LX3310 kubota. I like everything about it including the front mount snowblower. The only thing I don't like is the treadle pedal. I haven't heard you talk about it. I was just wondering if you like using it or have you made a change? If you made a change could you explain what you did. Thank you and Merry Christmas. Bernie.
