Gary, is this a good beginner trans to play with? I have a couple Powerglides, 350 in my 77 Corvette and 75 Chevy C20 and a 700R4 I got from my younger brother. One goal is to beef up the Allison in my 2005 3500 Chevy Duramax. Billet converter, go through the rest for better clutches. I’ve limped the trans a couple times, need to get her fixed before she sets codes again. Home is out west in idaho when I’m in the US. Thanks

Great video! On a unit like this, with missing check balls and deleted 1-2 accumulator, do you put it back to the way it should be, or leave it how it arrived? Thanks for sharing.

Hey there, recently bought a 1990 ford ranger for 1200 bucks and it didn't even make it home (started pouring Atf out of the transfer case). I was prepared for an issue like this and compared my options. A rebuild kit was 430 and quotes for a full rebuild from a shop was around 1750-2200 on the high end. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I decided to rebuild it myself. Using your A4LD tear down video I was able to get it taken apart fairly easily. I then attempted to use another video for reinstallation but I'm pretty sure it's a different year and the guy isn't explaining or showing what he's putting back in. Do you happen to have any videos of you putting a rebuilt A4LD back together? I was doing great up until this point and now am just scratching my head trying to reverse engineer the Teardown video you have posted. Honestly any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a good one.

Have you looked on the internet for a manual? The company ATSG has one available for download
