Good to see the white dude taking a closer grip to protect the shoulders/chest. I use the exact same grip width, 2" outside the knurling and have not injured myself on bench in 23+ years of training. In the beginning you might do more weight with a really wide grip but it's not worth the extra stress on your chest insertions and shoulders.

  • @davidselawsky6620

James goes w his strengths, his triceps are strong hence narrow grip. Julius if u look at his form incorporates zero, very little powerlufting technique. His elbows are flared wide as heck. No elbow wraps no belt, no scapula retraction, no lat engagement just sinks in his massive chest and brute force launches it up. This guy has the potential to break the record imo. Swimhack will b chasing 700 for a long time unless he gaines another 30 pounds of bodyweight imo. Great job but needs the extra weight imo.

You couldn’t be more wrong about Julius 😂😂. Maybe you should watch his videos, because he definitely uses powerlifting technique, he’s just so massive his retracted shoulders and arch aren’t noticeable.
