If you were to run this bike at about 28mph throttle only, how many miles would you get? I’m thinking about building a single/fixed gear dual suspension bike with a comfy seat for having a stealth amount of power that would help for commuting through any terrain. Thank you, amazing video!

Hi, and thanks. Single speed will be a balance between high and low speed. In the vid my max speed is 40mph, but cruise speed is only about 24mph due to rpm and motor temp. Unless you have plans to ride hard off road I would use a 6 speed cassette/chain to have some options. It will take a lot of abuse. I changed to Lightning Rods Big Block as the terrain where I live now is wide and fast. It can cruise 40mph and pulls insanely from 0. But not very stealthy.

@@nielsbaardseth thank you 🙏 I’m pretty set on single gear and don’t mind a loss of top speed or torque off the starting line. Mostly just enough to cruise upwards of 30mph for longer commutes with power reserved for any hills in my area. Not Planning to do all off road… probably 70% street 30% off road. And even then, nothing crazy, just trails/paths and some dirt. I’m not looking to go so heavy that I would need fox 40’s 😅 just a mountain bike with enough speed, range, kick, and comfort. The stealth part more so comes from it just being a mountain bike frame as opposed to a SurRon which flat out resembles a dirt bike. I know the bike will still be a bit loud :-) thank you!
