Thanks so much for watching! If you are interested in finding out more info about St Peter Port I have a whole playlist all about it: kzread.info/head/PLgfR64_vRGksl7Kpdf6K8yh6nMkhrfckT
Town Church is very peaceful and tranquil inside just right for 10minutes peace and quiet
Hi randomly watched your video and saw ourselves. 4 ladies directly under the church window at 5.31. One of us has a blue dress one in a green and white dress. How funny. We had a lovely day in St Peter Port, its a lovely friendly place. Had a gorgeous afternoon tea at The Old Government House. Thank you
I saw so many tourists today crossing the road at rush hour, between the crossings! Just sauntering across four lanes of traffic lol
Next time there’s a ship in Ross, bring the camera down to the Albert Pier and we’ll stick on the train. Love your videos!

Hi, love that 🇬🇬🙏
The pub facing the church , in the 70s was called the Cosy Corner , a great meeting place on our days off from Herm 👌

Great stuff 😂🇬🇬
Hi Ross, great video! The pub right at the beginning at the top of Smith St ("Prince of Wales") - has that been renamed or am I mistaken? And town busy, ... well yes sort of. But no comparison to the days when Guernsey was a holiday island (1960s, 1970s, even first half1980s). Hope a few of the cruise ship visitors come again for more than a few hours. And wake up the bankers 😉
Lovely to see St. Peter port not only vibrant in colour with good weather, the hanging baskets and bunting but with visitors.
PPS, as well as the Jamaica inn !
Love the channel Ross, and over in Guernsey this week, been to Herm today and had a close up of the cruise ships!Massive!
A little of my heart resides in Guernsey. The days of Renoir's and The Little Theatre, of which I managed to run both for a couple of years. Great place with many lovely people.
Still not as busy as in the 50/60s - those were the days! Thank you Ross, a lovely catch up with the town. Love your walk alongs. Tell me can the people see the camera - some look at you and others ignore you.

Hi, yes the camera is visible to everyone 🙏
Re Specsavers. Mum used to keep loosing her glasses so we went to Specsavers there and got some glasses cord so she wouldn't loose them again
Looks lovely, never been to guernsey, yet..
Ps , Alex Higgins and Oliver Reed use to frequent it .
Lovely to see the town thriving. I haven't been back for about 7 years now and there are so many new shops. My mum used to work at Sarnian Sports (Podgers 😉) and there was the Old Weighing Chair. People used to come every week to be weighed and then she would write it on a little card for them. I think it cost 5p 🤗

Excellent video! - in my time visiting the island (1997-2017) never seen it as busy as you have shown it today. Good to see so many people - hopefully the island's economy benefits from their trade !

Thanks for this. I’m a Guernsey girl but left 6 years ago to live elsewhere with my family. My parents are still on the rock, and we’ve been back to visit once. Lovely to see beautiful town, so many memories. My daughter remembered the donkey in market square, which was erected by friends of mine. Look forward to watching more of your content 😊

Beautiful town. I never realised it was so big when I visited in my teens. We seemed to just stick to the main street. The market square is beautiful. We never went there.
Hi Ross 7000 people that's amazing amount of people fingers crossed shops benefited because most towns are crying out for visitors 👍
Whenever in Guernsey , we can realize at once that the Island can be extremely quiet...or very busy indeed ! That's definitely one of its force ! By the way I changed my pseudo. I was Michel Genest
First time your channel has popped up in my recommended. I am born and raised in Guernsey. Spotted several people I know in this walk through town, including my dad 😂

I'm so happy to have found this channel. Thank you. I remember the old fish market with the catch fresh off of the boats. That was many years ago. My mum's family was originally from Jersey with relatives in Guernsey and Guernsey was always our favourite destination. Buy up some fresh bread, ham and fruit and spend the day at Cobo. Beautiful, wonderful days. I am longing to return and visit some of the places that hold such treasured memories. Thank you, again.

Thanks for watching!
I was there on Wednesday 10th August on a day trip from France. It was much quieter as there were no cruise ships in and the two hundred or so people on my ferry quickly dispersed around the town and island. Sadly Hauteville house is closed on Wednesdays so some passengers may have been disappointed.
Hi Ross, Another great video bringing back memories. Remember when the indoor market sold Fruit n Veg, Meat, Fresh Fish and crabs and Lobsters and flowers and you could send the flowers back home to England. Good old days

So glad I didn’t need to go into town today! Well I did, I have a prescription to pick up but I couldn’t be bothered and now I think it was a good thing! It’s lovely seeing the tourists but they’re so slooooow 😂😂😂
The flower baskets are beautiful, and the streets so clean! Lovely to see the Pride banner :)

Mylk will be one of my hangouts! Do they ever have "farmers" markets in the market square?
I saw the Latvian lady at Mylk is still there 😁. I used to deliver to that place and Dix-Neuf as well which is also near the market. Everything looks great, but honestly i've seen the town way more crowded. :) was a nightmare driving a Van on main street in the morning.

St Peter Port is looking great. It’s interesting to see what’s the same and what’s changed since I last visited. I like what they’ve done to the market. I remember the old fish market!

Another day you can't get on buses 91 and 92. I visit every year and you have to check what cruise ships are in if you want use the buses.
Came in on a Cruise a few years ago so that we could visit family for a few hours.
Excellent as usual, Ross, I still have an old £1 note in my wallet, must get back to spend it 🤣🤣
