Hi randomly watched your video and saw ourselves. 4 ladies directly under the church window at 5.31. One of us has a blue dress one in a green and white dress. How funny. We had a lovely day in St Peter Port, its a lovely friendly place. Had a gorgeous afternoon tea at The Old Government House. Thank you

I saw so many tourists today crossing the road at rush hour, between the crossings! Just sauntering across four lanes of traffic lol

Hi Ross, great video! The pub right at the beginning at the top of Smith St ("Prince of Wales") - has that been renamed or am I mistaken? And town busy, ... well yes sort of. But no comparison to the days when Guernsey was a holiday island (1960s, 1970s, even first half1980s). Hope a few of the cruise ship visitors come again for more than a few hours. And wake up the bankers 😉

Lovely to see the town thriving. I haven't been back for about 7 years now and there are so many new shops. My mum used to work at Sarnian Sports (Podgers 😉) and there was the Old Weighing Chair. People used to come every week to be weighed and then she would write it on a little card for them. I think it cost 5p 🤗

I'm so happy to have found this channel. Thank you. I remember the old fish market with the catch fresh off of the boats. That was many years ago. My mum's family was originally from Jersey with relatives in Guernsey and Guernsey was always our favourite destination. Buy up some fresh bread, ham and fruit and spend the day at Cobo. Beautiful, wonderful days. I am longing to return and visit some of the places that hold such treasured memories. Thank you, again.

I was there on Wednesday 10th August on a day trip from France. It was much quieter as there were no cruise ships in and the two hundred or so people on my ferry quickly dispersed around the town and island. Sadly Hauteville house is closed on Wednesdays so some passengers may have been disappointed.
