I bought a 1997 BIg Bear 350. It needs some work - so I am going to just do what I can. I've got a new battery (a trickle charger and fast connect - auto shut off), 2 new headlights. New material to cover seat. Oil, oil filter, air filter. Gonna clean up front and back rack and paint. and just go from there. Glad to see this. I think mine had a lot more riding done on it - than this one. But looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Thanks much! clean the whole body - get some shine back. Looks good. good job.

Some parts were Yamaha, and some Chinese knock offs, but my Big Bear and my daughter’s 86 Moto 4 are 100% working order! Would like to find a 90’s Moto 4 350 Big Bear-the early ones had a much heavier frame, and front end with grease zerts on everything.

Does anybody know where the serial number for the rear diff is on the 1998 big bear 350 4wd? I have ordered the All Balls Racing rear diff seal and bearing kit from Partzilla and it has the wrong bearing. I sent it back and they sent another and it still has the wrong bearing. I talked to someone at All Balls Racing and he says that it is the right bearing. He thinks that the previous owner replaced the rear diff with one from different model. I don't think so because when I bought it, it was only 5-6years old so I don't think it was. I am trying to get in touch with the guy I bought it from but that was 18 years ago. I found on the Yamaha website what the serial number is for the rear diff but not where the serial number is. I can't see, I am going to try to clean it up some more and see if I can find it but any help would be appreciated.
