(70) JavaMatic Factory - Grounded Survival Build

Ойындар

Welcome to the Survival Build Series, where we showcase builds of all types and sizes from my main survival world in Obsidian's game, Grounded! Each build is listed chronologically to show the evolution of the world over time. Each build is also sectioned off into biomes to allow viewers to find inspiration in a specific section of the map!
Build Details: Built within the JavaMatic coffee maker in the Northern Upper Yard, this base takes full advantage of the glass encasing to make a truly unique area! Players looking to build here should note that due to the invalid surfaces within, the actual planning of the foundation can be difficult and tedious, so be patient! To help with such frustrations, it is recommended that players start from the battery inside the JavaMatic, as this is a valid surface for building. In addition, players should be cautious of building here if they wish to engage in base defense mechanics, as it appears as though both aerial and land raids are disabled at this location. For players looking for a pragmatic base, this area provides an elevated surface for zipline travel as well as relative close proximity to end game items that may prove useful to farming, making it a decent spot for farming runs, especially for its relative safety.
Overall I would highly recommend building a base here if you are looking for a unique location to build something completely different from what you're used to!
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out the builds, be sure to like and subscribe for more Grounded building content!

    @@Adabulldoya My base actually is anchored from the battery inside the JavaMatic, as it allows for floors to be placed on top of the 9V battery. (This is where I started the entire build) This, as well as the entrance staircase are both supporting structures for the base!

    I just finally got round to finishing the game. This has given me inspiration for a base from which to stage the 100% grind from. Thanks! Some reinforcement around the entrance and that should be completely raid proof? Even from wasps?

  • @burglslostlogs

    @burglslostlogs

    I’m not entirely sure if the base is “raid compatible.” But just in case, I recommend starting the build from the battery on the inside of the JavaMatic as it will be a more secure anchor point. That being said, if something does attack the entrance it won’t completely break the base!

    Cool build. Me personally would change the grass walls to mushroom bricks. Other than that great use of space. I built mine in the bird bath

  • @burglslostlogs

    @burglslostlogs

    2 ай бұрын

    Unfortunately mushroom bricks have a bit larger of a collision zone than the grass walls, so my guess is that I wasn’t allowed to place them in certain spots. Or maybe I just decided to switch it up for this build…honestly it was so long ago I don’t really recall what happened! Bird bath is a cool spot for a base! That’s actually where I was building my last base when the playgrounds mode was released! 👍

    This is cool and all but what I don't understand is why do people need so many ovens, gun mashers etc? You are literally cooking 5 portions at a time. How many do you eat?!

  • @burglslostlogs

    @burglslostlogs

    2 ай бұрын

    The glue mashers are convenient as I like to have a chest full of glue (on whoa mode things break pretty quickly) As for the ovens, I cook up quite a few mushroom bricks, so this ensures I can do it quickly. For the meals it’s pretty pointless unless you have a ton of fresh storage containers

    No i do not have any tutorials for my builds, as my intention isn’t for people to necessarily copy what they see. But I’d love to answer any specific questions if you want to make your own version! I’ll start by saying you should anchor the build (start it) on the battery inside the JavaMatic, and build out from there!

  • @burglslostlogs

    @burglslostlogs

    Ай бұрын

    I’m not sure if the buildings stay in a new NG cycle, but if they do that spot should be pretty safe during the defense sequence. And I suppose worst case scenario you can always load a save from before the fight and just add a few fortifications for the next attempt!

    will the base break after starting up the mixer?

  • @burglslostlogs

    @burglslostlogs

    23 күн бұрын

    I’m not sure. It has an anchor point from the inside of the coffee pot, so it won’t fall apart easily. Still, a stray mosquito or firefly might aggro it during the fight. You can always reload a previous save and add extra fortifications if you find that the bugs are attacking the base!

    I totally agree with the detail part. This build was made when 1.0 was released, so my choice of furnishings was a bit scarce at the time! Also, given that this was a survival mode build and the 70th of a series, it is built more as a proof of concept rather than an actual base! If you would like to see more detailed bases consider checking out my creative builds! I worked hard to add an abundance of detail with each and every one of those builds!
