7 Ways to Stay Spiritually Grounded

In this week's video, I give seven tips for staying spiritually grounded during quarantine. It has been over two months since we have met in person for church (for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and LDS temples have been closed around the world, but it's still possible to stay spiritually grounded during this time. These tips are for Latter-day Saints (and people of other faiths) to help you stay close with God. My hope is that as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or the Mormon/LDS Church), my viewers and I can offer advice to people who are feeling a spiritual void.
What have you been doing to stay spiritually grounded? Let me know in the comments below!
Thank you SO much for watching! I usually serve in the Temple each week so I have been doing indexing and other family history work for the same hours. I have contacted as Many of the ward members as possible by sending handmade cards.

Hey Mimi, thank you for this video. I have been inactive for about 3 years or more now. Before this pandemic started , I had no desire to go back to church. And when this pandemic started I had this BIG desire to get closer to God again. The irony is that now that the church is closed, I want to go back to church but when it was open and people would invite me, I had zero desire to go back. Watching you, saints unscripted and Kwaku has help me a lot with my decision of going back , thank you ❤️ Oh and also rereading the Book of Mormon 😊 (sorry for my grammar, I’m horrible at writing )

Hello Mimi and thank you I believe I need to change Churches and I did get a call from 2 missionary men. Sorry Elders. I don't know what is the matter is my Pastor. He kept making a visit to me with out a face mask. This is the final straw if he doesn't want to keep other people safe. ..... I already have downloaded the LDS Gospel. Thank you Mimi for the video.

I’m glad that I started doing a lot of these things after I woke up from a coma. I was really depressed after the first few months because I felt like, “okay God. Now what? This is so hard.” To be fair, it was so hard. I couldn’t even walk! But then I started reading some books and I was able to apply what they said to my own situation. My book recommendations are “More Than The Tattooed Mormon” by Al Fox Carraway and “Even This” by Emily Belle Freeman. There are many others that I read, but I can only remember those two right now. And of course, the scriptures. I love looking scriptures up by topic, especially when I want to know more about something.

Oh by the way! You mentioned books we would recommend. Well my friend recommended me a book by his professor, you might know my friends professor. His name is Stephen Covey, "The author of 7 habits of highly effective people." Lesser known by the author is a book my friend recommended me and that I have started reading. It is called, "The Divine Center." it is by Stephen Covey also and it is a great book. Spoiler Alert! Stephen Covey describes two kinds of communication problems: Perception and Credibility Perception is based on prior experiences that different individuals experience and them placing there different interpretations on those same facts. For example, Why did Joseph Smith Fielding Junior restore the church? This can be a controversial topic and can be answered with any infinite amounts of perspectives! The other is credibility, in this situation, one or both of the persons is questioning the sincerity, integrity, competence, and perhaps sanity of the other. In this example laid other before, the credibility being questioned is Joseph's vision in the sacred grove and the meeting the prophet had with the angel Moroni. Blessings, Bye.
