Big pair of cajones on the last play. Way to go Utah.

This was my first CFB game. I was pulling for my Trojans on the North end but shit happens. Besides COVID we haven’t won at Rice-Eccles since I was in high school. Amazing atmosphere and I could tell Utah wasn’t going to give up with Lowe and Ty Jordan on their helmet.

Great game, this was two styles slugging it out: USCs big play ability vs Utahs grind it out style. So much fun to watch!

It's funny because this is the exact reason why the Chicago Bears need Caleb Williams right now. I watched this specifically because it was his first loss as a starter against a ranked team. It was an epic showdown and literally the only reason this game wasn't a blowout was because of the USC defense. A common theme in Williams' college career. Funny thing is the Chicago Bears have never really had that problem. I'm so excited for what is to come. BEAR DOWN!

Glad to know that it wasn’t only my YTTV stream that went haywire at the 5:51 mark. Fox had A LOT of issues with the broadcast.

As soon as they showed Vince Young on the broadcast this game was over. My younger siblings had no idea who he was or what that mean. But I did, I knew exactly what that meant.

The roughing call with targeting was a good call. #99 on USC led with the crown of the helmet when he tackled Rising and drove his head into Rising's upper chest area. Can't torpedo any player like that.

@@layzie1461 have you watched p12 football? They consistently call that. What about the hold in the end zone to stop a sack that would have been 2 points for Utah as well as give them the ball? Instead usc drove the field for a score. Or the td screen to Jackson when the receiver held the db in position to make the tackle by the face mask? Please, Utah got a silly roughing the week prior against UCLA. You don't hear Utah fans crying. It's a 60 minute game. Stop 4th and goal or 2 point conversion. Utah made adjustments that worked and usc didn't. Usc was gifted a chip shot field goal miss and a fumble when Utah was going in for the score. Cry on!!!

It should come as no surprise. LR has it in his mind that all it takes is offense and a mediocre at best defense. That is all he has ever shown in his coaching career. Then watch the cool kids come in and stir up the discipline and technique. LR is a nerd with cool kid complex. It’s like he wants to be cool and fit in for once in spite of his record.

Too bad he has chosen to follow the coaching staff he has chosen. He is great will be great at the next level. Just not going to get to play to his full potential where he is now. I get him wanting to leave OU, but with all the vitriol surrounding he should have went elsewhere Clemson, Tennessee. I’m sure Alabama would have chomped at the bit to get him he’s that great. That coach will make him shine but during the tough games he will be carrying the burden all on his own. No defense to back up his efforts in the challenging games. He needs to be in a national championship game.

@@hughobrien4139 Bama just lost and gave up 52 points to Tennessee and even a heisman trophy winning QB couldn’t make up for their defense last weekend. USC is where Caleb wanted to be for a number of reasons. Saying he should’ve gone somewhere where he had no relationship with the coach or somewhere like Bama where’d he’d have to sit behind an established Heisman winner is just ridiculous. Playing under Riley seemed to work well for Jalen Hurts and Kyler Murray, so Williams will be fine.

Huge coaching error by Lincoln Riley by not calling a time out with a lot more time on the clock before Utah scored the final touchdown. He should have anticipated Utah was going to score and that they would need as much time as they could to run start a comeback Instead they tried tried to come back with 30 seconds left left I'm not over a minute and a 1/2

They had 48, burned time running it back. 48 seconds and 2 timeouts is plenty of time to get in field goal range.

It is based on subjective poll ranking, which is total crap. The NCAA will never see to it that actual teams earn their way into the playoff. They need to make sure the teams that make it have a huge view base to make $.

Oklahoma understands they were going to be continually trashed with LR in the picture. It was slow death around here. Discipline eroded to a point we couldn’t stand to watch it when winning it was so frustrating. We see exactly where we are and where we are going. LR had to go. In spite of saying that. If LR would have won out and played for a title we would have all been proud. That he made the most out of it. It’s just a self evident truth and proven track record. The man refuses to take defense as being a serious priority. I hope he finds it. Losing Caleb Williams continues to show its depths around here and I get it. I just believe Caleb should have been well aware that playing for anything meaningful during his collegiate career is never going to happen around LR. That’s the poison. It will be one promising season after another of, we almost made it but our defense fell short. The depths of the frustrations can not be overstated with that coach around.
