I always enjoy your videos Kakibot! Each time I tune in, I learn a lot! Looking forward to visiting Edinburgh the end of July!
Note to Canadians: buy a Canadian National Trust membership, you can use it in the UK and it’s cheaper than the UK card. I travel a lot and always go out at lunchtime, not dinner because the price is so much less.
This is so helpful!!!! I love your videos!
This is so informative, good tips❤
Thank you Kat for the valuable saving tips! You and Simon are doing great work on your valuable videos❤

This is beautiful country and wederful people 😊
I'm interested 😊
Love Wise (old Transferwise) and their products…to the point, i’d love to work for them. Well done. Didn’t know about the railcard! 😌Thanks!
Do I have to be a UK resident to purchase a rail card?
How did you get such a good flat? All the flats in my area are rundown council schemes. :(
What are the sightseeing places in Edinburgh ??
Don't tell anyone, but every year there is a "doors open day" at Edinburgh castle. Not sure what day this year is. Also I think it includes all Historic Scotland properties. Do you think this is enough to make me "comment famous" and do I get a plaque ?

Ooooh interesting - will need to look into that. I just know that certain museums (or.. museum-like spots) that fall under the Edinburgh University have a specific day when they are open to the public! (Should probably look that up too >.>) Your commenter plaque is on its way to you! .D
I would suggest Greggs or tescos meal deal rather than Costa or Starbucks. Definetely better quality in an affordable price

This video only points out that coffee chains offer heavy discounts through the TooGoodToGo app (2 sandwiches+2 cakes or more for about £3.50) ! Although Greggs are available on there as well, so if that's someone's preference, they should give it a go .)
Too Good To Go is awesome, particularly the bakeries that have opted into it. Nom
Okay I’m confused She never really explained how the apps for the discount food stores work It sounds interesting But how does it work???!!! 🤔🤔
Great way
I used to be majorly budget oriented and one thing I used to do to save money (again it's pretty obvious) but use the library instead of buying books. You can search the entire Edinburgh libraries catalogue online and reserve books and it only costs 50p and they have most books!

That's a great tip! I was actually really surprised by how much people forget about libraries here. Will give it a look myself! .)
So helpful!!! I too use Wise, fabulous fees compared to other options. Good job 👍 👏
"Take some tips from them and make a video...isn't that frugal already"😂😂
You did great with Italian! One panino, two panini :) Thank you for all the tips!

Haha thank you! Western use of Italian is baffling sometimes! .D Glad you enjoyed the video!
About Costa paninis - you don't need a panini press, put them in the oven for around 10 minutes, between 150 till 180 degrees and they should be as good as from Costa. Temperatures and times may vary, depending on previous tenants and the quality of your (landlords) oven but generally if its golden brown on the outside, it means it should be good to go :) (from ex-costa employee)

These are great tips! Edinburgh is expensive, especially as someone coming from a country where our dollar is weaker. But it’s a beautiful city!

Yes it does often feel like one's paying premium for being surrounded by so much prettiness - at least it's not one of the large cities where you pay extra just because there's so much business going on which most people don't even have anything to do with!
Thanks for the amazing video! I hat the historic Scotland membership when I came to live in Edinburgh for a year, and it was amazing. I never visited so many castles! Plus they send you quarterly magazines about their works and events that are pretty cool :-)

Everyone loves a bargain ! , thanks for these ideas to save money especially with the price of electricity , gas and fuel going up so much. My top tip is a coupon in the free Metro newspaper this Thursday & Friday ( available just around the corner from you at Haymarket station ! ) giving £10 off a £40 shop ( 25% off ! ) at Lidl , valid until Wednesday 15th. Wishing you and Simon a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! :-)
