The thing about asking for directions was hilarious.
I was student of Classics and History and visited Greece very often. On one occasion I decided to make a trip to Izmir instead . I was amazed and stayed for 4 weeks - travelling around Turkey - Efes, Istanbul and Canakkale and many other sights. ! Turkey is big and has fantastic Roman / Greek sites , great food and great people.! Turkish language can be tricky at first but once you grasp the rules of grammar it becomes much easier ..
Motorcycles on the sidewalk are also common in Greece, unfortunately..

Sad to hear that. Be careful!
Very useful list! Teşekkürler 🙏🏼 I was so surprised at this; 3:55 I hope one day I can come to Turkey 🤞🏼

It is surprising and dangerous at the same time! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
About the traffic, Istanbul is almost similar with Jakarta. Even the traffic jam in Jakarta is so bad. Hehe. It is same thing with motorcycle at sidewalk. For asking direction, it is somewhat opposite. If you ask someone of direction with limited information, they will say directly, "I don't know." or "I never hear." So if you want to ask some direction, use complete information, especially asking someone's house (what street, what number, what neighbourhood, what district, etc). Çok iyi ve güzel, Arkadaş. Endonezya'dan selamlar. Endonezya'ya gelin bir gün.

OMG I love #6. It was just that way in Kuwait City too. (Or for all I know it could have been some Turkish people I was asking.) I was seeing if I could find a recording of some local folk music for a keepsake and I got literally ten different, detailed directions from very nice people, but never did find any music.
Great video, guys! I love Turkey and I’m coming over this summer. ❤
Congratulations! 🥳 I really liked your video, good job. 💪 🤗 It's an ideal video for when we come. I'm very bad at haggling.🤭

Haggling? Yeah, I'm very bad too. When we are in a haggling market, I trust my wife totally. She's more more expert than me in haggling and I only need to keep my mouth shut. 😂
Bilmiyorum demek bu kadar zor olmamalı ya :)

actually bottled water is our culture bcoz of that municipalities do not make much effort to improve water quality. but some municipalities/cities/water supplier companies say that their water is potable. So drinking from fountain may depends on your area.
Istanbul São Paulo ve Rio de Janeiro gibi, ben Brezilya' da yaşıyorum, bütün şehirlerdeki trafik beni kızdırır aslında.

I never bargain in Turkey, it is okey trying to bargain as a foreigner, but not as a citizen. They get really mad

i do bargain how they get rly mad idk? actually just we dont have culture to bargain on food, like at restourants. Probably they will do discount but it will seems like ure poor and dont have money.
İnfo for people who planning bargain for 1 Lira :) its nearly equal to 10 cent. Store owner may find this behavior a little bit weird, or disrespectful if you not out of cash. You should use this trick when you buy more expensive things like: clothes, gift stuff etc.
Harika! Ellerinize sağlık

6:35 As an American, 1 dollar is worth 10 turkish liras, so bargaining for 1 lira here and there isn't worth it in my opinion.
Dont bargain for food in that little bufe, thats a big shame 🙄

last one very unnecessery example :/ you can bargain in bazaar but you shouldnt bargain in market, bufe, cafe etc. The man in the bufe accept your offer because he thought you are poor or you dont have enough money and you are really hungry. If you buy any gift item or clothes in turkey bazaars you can bargain with them.
hayatımda bu kadar mezarcı bi insan görmedim. 11 liralık şeye 10 lira düz yapalım nedir ya ? avrupadan gelen adam 10 cent için pazarlık mı yapacak.

But why bargain over just 1 lira which is just a few cents. It's embarrassing. For crossing the roads, Istanbul is better than Taiwan. Istanbul drivers are considerate and will stop for people who anyhow cross when they are not supposed to. For water, I drink hotel tap water. Many people haven't read about microplastics in plastic bottled water.
Noone but Noone in Turkey do that bargaining in a little bufe like that. That's so bs. 😂 😂 😂 😂 But if you don't have enough money They probably can make a discount for you just to help you out. That's all.
you dont need to bargain just buy it
I have just been in Istanbul for a week. It’s a clean and nice city with lots of nice restaurants to choose, great history and land scapes as well . The only thing disappointed me is that big kurdo phobia going on there. As a half British and half Kurdish origin , I was very shocked by the amount of racism exiting in that city against Kurdish people who are making up to %20 of the population in Turkey. Not all of them but a lot of them unfortunately proudly showing racist acts. With my English friend who came with me to Istanbul for the first time in his life, we bought ice cream in Taksim street , I show my gratitude to the shop , saying thank you in Turkish language, he replied with nice smile , I said thanks again in Kurdish language, the face expression change drastically to an angry rude mood , said something in Turkish I’m sure it was a nasty words. I don’t understand Turkish language. My English friend felt it too. It’s sad that tolerance is not existing in that beautiful country. What’s wrong if all ethnics to live in harmony and respect to each others , why Kurdish language and culture are taboo? They were existing in Anatolia thousands of years before establishing of Turkish state in 1923 , why they can’t be free to study and practice their own cultural rights, isn’t that better for healthier Turkish country ? Hatred and racism are never a solution, look at history of Europe? It never works that way, it’s the era of tolerance and accepting each other’s not denying and rejecting, hope Turkey will change its education system. State systematically racist institutions will never bring peace to the nation.

@EasyTurkish

Eskiden bu amaçla yapılmışlar ancak bir çoğuna veya şehir merkezindekilerine şebeke suyu bağlı olduğu için bu musluklardan veya çeşmelerden su içilmemeli.
