Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, you will see 7 common mistakes made when TIG welding stainless steel square tube.
Learning to TIG weld stainless steel is a lot easier when you know what faults to look for.
See behind the hood for each weld of the square tube, with detailed commentary.
This is part of a series of TIG welding lessons for a build series of a stainless steel ar table and stools project. Here:

Hello sir. How to use lift tig on thin stainless tubes like 1.0mm and 1.2mm?

Hi, that is the material thickness I was using in the video. Did you have a go at the stainless welding?

Those are some good welds. Do you have any tips for avoiding distortion? I TIG welded up a rectangular stainless water tank once and did 1 inch beads at different locations all along the seams. It held back the warp very well, but it was time consuming on the long seams. Is there a better way?

Thanks. On thinner stainless steel. I recommend placing fusion tacks (quick small tacks no filler wire) every inch. Placing heatsinks as close as possible to the weld area. For example. Welding in stainless sinks in a bench top. I would put wet rags as close to the weld on the bench top corners and aluminium plate on the straights. I don't recommend backstep welding as it tends to ripple the thinner material. I generally don't use filler wire on outside corners, nut have it there in case. I hope that helps. I will build an outdoor kitchen in the coming months where I will demonstrate the methods.

Don't you think your perfect weld is overcooked ?I think your travel speed is low and you start cooking the stainless
