I agree. Tbf I think it’s also a good point that our wardrobes are getting way too big. Buy less, buy better. Even people who can’t afford much at all can follow this advice in some way - get one or two fantastic quality garments that will last you a lifetime, rather than 10 shitty skirts that will be tattered and dated in six month’s time. Flattering clothes in beautiful fabrics that fit your body will *never* go out of fashion.

Agree. 15 years ago you could find well made, well cut trousers and blouses. But more recently, their clothes are not great. The fabrics are terrible and construction is abit shoddy. Zara was my go to for great quality lined winter coats at a reasonable cost, but now they don't even line their coats. And want the same price! I did see a really nice heavy caramel pleated skirt recently. But that was one thing in the whole store. I'm now saving up for an expensive camel coloured winter coat that will last me forever. Great vid. X Ps Massimo dutti is owned by zara but better in quality.

@@seabreeze4559 First of all... Where do you live? Where I live we have clothes pouring into all the thrift shops in all the cities I live in/by by the truck loads! They need everyone/anyone to buy the clothes so they don't end up in the landfills. Shame on you for not caring about the environment and your fellow man. Do you realize that most of the clothes donated to thrift shops end up in 3rd world countries polluting their towns and destroying their economies? Don't you care about them? And how do you know my budget? How do you know I'm taking care and helping out my family in need and haven't taken a vacation in about 12 years because I'm helping my family. Shame on you for assuming you know my life when you don't. As someone who doesn’t make much money, I have a low budget for clothing but I’m still rather choosy. But the issue is that every fast fashion shop you enter is filled with ghastly floral prints of unflattering dresses, and crop tops that show far more skin than needed in public! Elegance just isn’t in fashion for fast fashion.

@Charusara Adikari Do you take a “Pattern” like brands Butterick or Vogue to the tailor along with your fabric and have him or her create your garment? Or do you give the tailor a photo and have them create it? Also, do you have the tailor make several of the same designs [at same time so they can be efficient] but in different colors? Thank you, in advance, for your response. I have thought of using a tailor (sometimes called seamstress). Greetings from Chicago 🌸

Hello Ladies, I usually get inspired from many fashion designs, I save interesting garments I see online or in Pinterest and change things based on my choice. I bring my own fabric to my tailor/ seamstress, (so I can assure the quality of the fabric) most of the time I listen to their opinion since they know how the fabric works the best. My tailor draws the sketch in front of me while we discuss, if I have a picture of the design which inspired I share if with them. (It’s sounds like a big process but it’s not) I don’t like to have same design in two colours (but it’s a personal choice). Like you mentioned it is efficient to get it like that. Hope this is informative. ❤️
