Hi Ed! I am really interested in purchasing some of your Lightroom Preset Packs but it seems something is wrong with your website. I am interested in Urban and also Daylight film packs but can't seem to find any information about those presets there.

Thank You! For this video. I have always felt some kind of way about editing photos but after watching this video it put everything all into prospective for me. Editing makes so much sense now.

Hi Ed. You mentioned taking photos by phone and then editing them in LR CC. In phone as well, If I got it right. How about lack of possibility to calibrate you screen in mobile device?

I totally agree with all these point's but it's number one that gets me the most, like some people saying to me "I wanna see it straight out the camera as it is", and i'm like "well good for you , but it's not how I envision it " i'll edit it how I like it , end of story. , I love editing not over saturated edits or just over edited photos but creative edits.

definitely its a great way to add focus to a photo or photo series.

I used to buy into that philosophy that editing was cheating when I first started because everyone would tell me that. But then I found out everyone does it.

I think it is a common battle for photographers and something we can just move forward from once we just accept it we can progress as artists and allow ourselves to grow with freedom. Thanks for watching my content and happy its thought provoking.

If you throw on a filter are you adding an artistic flare, sure but are you up there with the creative greats not at all.Its on a scale but everything is valid. Thank you, Ed! Just something to consider, some of us pay KZread a monthly fee to not have ads in the videos. I love your stuff, but there is a negative vibe when I pay for no ads, and then have in-video advertisements to sit through. I appreciate your trying to offset your costs, but it is just something to keep in mind. ...... when's the wedding:-)

Thank so much and I can completely see where you are coming from with this. Unfortunately for us creators we have no way of knowing who pays for add free youtube etc and unfortunately this subscriptions fees barely get to us so if everyone paid for ad free we would all have to shut down our channels. I know this might sound like we creators are ungrateful but I hope that our followers can understand the costs that go into running a channel. KZread payments just don't cover it which is why I haven't been able to focus much on it. I would love to do this fiull time and in many ways I spend a lot of time when I do post but subsidies from advertisers keep us alive. That being said, I will not be running ad on all of my videos, only a few per month. the others will be ad free creativity for you to enjoy with no cost, I promise.

How do I get RAW photos on a shitty Android that has no support for Google Camera app?

Unfortunately that may not be possible. however you can still do some great photo editing using an app with a photo taken as jpeg. Don't let equipment limit your creativity.

That's the eternal debate with my father. He's a classic DSLR guy shooting on jpg and refuses to do any edits on his photos. I shoot on raw with a Fuji mirrorles, then edit with lightroom as many of us do around here. Funny thing he used to have a dark room and photo laboratory and did tons of edits on film camera, still denies what I do with a computer is the same he used to do in a lab.

It's different

Reason number 7 reached my brain. For years I have tried to be a photographer, I have a lot of photos of my travels through Latin America, Europe and Asia, one I have edited, but I dare not show them on social networks because I think they do not reach the level I want. I do not understand, this limitation that I have :(

Post production file work, commonly referred to as 'editing', takes as long as required to finish the job. It's neither long nor short, it is what it is.

@@clearlyed you know, I think it was my phone at that moment. It's never done that before but I watched your video again and I don't see the jumps. Sorry about that Ed. :-) I knew we would figure this out together :-) because you know what they always say, two EDS are better than one. :)
