Remember. The grass isn’t greener no matter where you move. It’s just different grass

Had a boss that used to say that to employees trying to leave. It's a phrase used justify shittiness or cover up bad qualities. Guess what the next job the grass was greener.

@jaylee6830: Exactly. I seen a lot of people moving to another state and is doing worse financially than they were in their original state. People say they make more money here and there and how wonderful it is to be here but failed to tell the truth about their financial conditions 😂.

I moved to Austin a couple years ago but now I want to leave again. People drive like crazy, the weather is too damn hot, and people just ghost you these days but maybe that's just a bad American habit. Japan or Taiwan is on my list of places to move. Thanks for the video!
Minneapolis and Austin both make you spend a large amount of the year inside to escape the weather, one in the winter and the other in the summer.
Sounds horrible. I’m getting out of LA, which is absolutely horrible. I’ve decided to get the hell away from any city. That is not living.
Sounds like all your reasons apply to America as a whole. I’ve been living in Mexico and my stress is at zero, I eat healthier, I’m happier, and life is great here. ❤❤❤

I moved to Austin in 1986 as a child and just recently moved to Tampa. I loved Austin for so long yet after spending 5 months visiting 24 countries in Europe last year and the lack of public transportation is a shame. I last lived downtown thinking it would be an amazing experience yet having to drive everywhere really sucks. I also tried going for a walk when it was 105F outside downtown and it was pure hell. Austin and most of the U.S. needs to completely revamp their transportation infrastructure and take notes from Japan and Switzerland.
💞💓I love this video. We are leaving Dallas for the same reasons. we are wanting to be active outdoors and cooler summers. Thank you!

Old Austin was where I could interact w someone at a house party then run into them at the lake 3 weeks later. Hippies, cowboys and hispanics got along but progressive leaning culture rooted that out a bit. Still a great place w some growing pains.

The problem is this is happening everywhere, along with the denegration of society and the rise of vapid consumerism. Where are these people going then or is everyone moving from city to city only to experience the same feeling of being lost in the numbers?
Denver used to be this way too. It used to be perfect, like a clean small town city but now it’s overcrowded and busting at its seams just like Austin.

Austin sounds like a great place to live, work, make new friends, raise a family and pursue the American Dream. So many opportunities for the entrepreneurial minded who look forward to rising up and meeting the daunting challenges of life. Everywhere I look there is a new business opening, neighborhoods being revitalized and friendly people looking connect.
Are you native and grew up in Austin ? I heard people from there are frustrated with all the Northerners moving in and changing the whole vibe..

Small town? Austin has been a major city since forever.
Yea, it is pretty cold in Puerto Rico in the summer.
Which areas are safe affordable family friendly to live?? Does it get very cold there?? Do you have crocodiles problems, love bugs?? Scorpion??What are the properties taxes on a average?? Does it hail in all texas?? Flood?? Is more humid or dry? Is there tornados, hurricane?? How's the health insurance ??

I was there for three days beautiful city !! 😍 I fell in love with its upbeat vibes San Antonio was Ahhmazing too!!!
Honorable mention on why people leave Austin: The politics. If you are a Republican in that city, Austin is the San Francisco or Chicago or Los Angeles or Seattle or New York City or Denver of Texas. In other words, you cannot get any more liberal than these cities. In fact, these are some of the most liberal cities in the US. If you feel politically uncomfortable living in Austin move to another city in Texas. If you are a Texas Democrat who loves the politics of Austin but despise the politics of Texas overall, think very carefully on whether to move out of Texas or not.
Austin is a complete overhype. There are better cities.

This is spot on. Say thank you to "mayor " Steve 'Cabo" Adler.
Rich people are complaining about the Heat, and the Cold. This ain't California or the French Riviera. Texas has always been a tough place to live
I've lived in Austin since 1987 yes things have changed. What do you expect with 1.2 million people?? Austin is a big city with small town streets. The city has made the streets even smaller by placing stick barriers for bicyclists.
I was considering moving to Austin from Switzerland, but with covid it got delayed, I was already considering Austin back then. I'm not there but it seems Austin is not changing for the best rn, Homesless, the rainy dude... Not so sure anymore, that's sad

@llmnr3xp0sed I believe he means Figuratively? I get it. It's a very diverse landscape. Hill on one side, canyons on the other. Downtown, Round Rock. South felt very homely from what I remember. I spent more time out West of Bee Caves. Definitely much different than Louis Henna

Expanding on the crime, it’s due to the population of democratic states (mostly California) continuously leaving because of the practically legal-crime, companies moving (a lot to Texas) because of the crimes, and insane enforcement child gender laws as well as other factors Austin and possibly parts of Texas will definitely keep growing in crime and as Texas becomes more democratic, it will eventually become plausible that Texas one day could become like California as it is now Especially since Texas is also the best state for the logical allowance of guns and home defense safety
