I would buy one if it had a v6. I'm not buying a 4 cylinder turbo truck.

Get used to it, every mid size truck is going this route. It’s just a matter of time before they all have 4 cylinder turbo/hybrid engines. As for cost, they’re all expensive, not just Toyotas.

It’s overpriced! 40+ grand and the back window doesn’t even open unless you get some overpriced option package.

Toyota betting on turbo engines is a mistake. Ford went that road and is still paying the price.

4 banger turbo, no good. Will never last as long as a naturally aspirated engine. Moved US based jobs to Mexico. Mexico quality is horrendous. price is 15K too high. I'll be buying a Frontier.

@@conehead44534453 I'm sure there have been Toyota, Ford, Chevy and every other manufacturer that had a blown engine with low miles. One bad apple does not ruin the batch. If there were engine issues, we would all know about it. But the Nissan's are pretty bomb proof too. Not quite the caliber of Toyota and Honda, but they are up their.

Hearing engine blows the piston.. Smaller gas tank 18.2 vs 3rd gen at 21.1 gallons with almost the same MPG’s..still no hood gas struts for the price? My 2001 Toyota Camry had hood gas struts.. Bring back the v-6!

Toyota stockers think the introduction of the 4th Gen along with their total new design and gimmicks would be over looked for the gross increased price to attract true truckers. They were wrong. Now live with your mistakes and learn, or not.

I have 3 Tacomas 2nd 3rd and 4th. The 4th Tacoma feels great to me. Wether it'll be reliable? We will see. But it drives great and it's fun to drive. Most of the people that downplay it don't own one. If you don't like the price. Don't buy one.

Many buyers want to avoid buying the first year production of a complete redesigned model, especially when there's a new power train without much reliability history. Toyota is moving to Turbo engine too fast. Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, Highlander and Grand Highlander gas models and the new Land Cruiser and 4Runner are all Turbo now.

First won’t be reliable as V6. And second engine will blow as the tundras just give it some times. I’m glad I purchased a Tacoma 21. V6.

I compared all the midsize trucks. In my opinion they are all over priced.

80,000 Engine

UUUhhhhhh let's try starting price of $38k for a crappy 2 Wheel drive ugly base crappy turbo. My neighbor has one and now it's in the shop!! This was 2 months ago.....now he's getting rid of it!!!! Turbo junk!

2018 sr5 msrp in the northeast was 35k, now thats 45k. trd was 45k now 55k minimum. plus you are getting a turbo 4. ill take a 2 door as long as it has 4wd but that model is 2wd only. if i wanted 4 doors i would buy an suv.

Everything else is expensive, have you seen what the competition is charging. This video is misleading. Vehicles in general have become out of reach for middle class Americans.

50,000 dollars too much! For Tacoma.

Paying more getting less!! I will keep my 2021 Tocoma v6. I will not own anything that comes with a turbo.

If they put the tundras motor in the Taco........I'll buy it, if the don't then Frontier here I come.

they are still working on that engine, why no problems when it was being used as a lexus engine but you install it in a trucks ,now millions of recalls.

Poor ride quality is a lie lol they are WAY better than the old tacos in that category. The price and the production quality are the real reasons people aren't buying this truck.

At the end of the day though, it’s a Toyota.. it’s a throw down for bad weather days etc so the nice cars can stay inside. If it shits the bed I’ll just get rid of it.

I will be crossing the new Tacoma off my list. Way over priced to the point where I will be looking at other brands. Very disappointed in Toyota and I was a fan.
