@@CabbageMeat yeah I did. And realized there's zero benefit of cooking it like they do and that you can just blend a dehydrated product and get a qualitatively similar result. If this is produced commercially, the gross majority is likely produced in reverse order where the product is dried first before being mechanically separated. But hey that's just my 2¢ in the year 2022 when we're building rockets that land themselves. Thanks for contributing to the stimulating conversation

Anyone else want to see these chefs make meals with their grocery hauls?! Some of these items I have no idea about and would love to see them used.
Harold is so chill and doesn’t talk about food in a snobby way. He’s great
I love Tiana's energy and that she really cares about where/when she's sourcing her food!
We need more Brad and Harold collabs - maybe something on It's Alive? A lot of amazing Filipino dishes usually have a fermented-something on the side
Seeing Harold always puts a smile on my face. We have basically the same grocery list and it's always great seeing how universal the Filipino-American experience is in many ways. However, as a child I always preferred Spam to the corned beef and still do.

I mean. These are professional chefs. And obviously they are also bringing their cultural tastes and experiences to their grocery lists. Like honestly, why all the hate? Their lists seem really realistic for their profession and backgrounds. Did you really expect them to be like oh milk, cereal, peanut butter and jelly. Edit: I'm really glad if by the time you read this comment you can't see the negative comments I'm referring to, since that means the positive or at least constructive comments have drowned them out! So just know that when I wrote this comment, there was, or at least I felt, a disproportionate amount of unnecessarily negative and hateful comments. Cheers!

@@TRCizzle essential for THEM...as noted in the title, "Their" not "Your".
Growing up in the Deep South, I have to give props to Harold’s choice of corned beef. Corned beef hash cooked crispy in a skillet with a runny fried egg on top is serious blue-collar food where I grew up (and I still cook it regularly to this day). My family always has a can of corned beef in the pantry for a lazy weeknight.
Save the best for last. Harold is my ultimate favorite person on BA. His bro chemistry with Brad is a match made in heaven. Please…. more segments with Brad and Harold
I appreciate seeing Jessie's list so much. It makes me feel like what I'm eating isn't weird. I've been made fun at a lot growing up eating asian food and this just makes me so happy and seen.
Devonn: “it kinda smells like an old man. This spice is going to pay for dinner.”
Would love to see the chefs make staples meals with their groceries next!
Tiana kept it real with her list lol I loved hers a lot
I love everyone's input, I always need help finding the basics and love the versatility in everyone's choice. Thanks guys.

First generation Korean and we always had a couple cans of it on hand. The cheap stuff normally but the Hereford when it was on sale. But my mom once treated it like canned tuna and made a mayo corned beef "salad". Yeah, I got strange looks when I unpacked my school lunch.

Yes Corned Beef so underrated, I’m PR we make it with peppers, onions a bit or garlic and sazón, make it as a side with white rice and fried eggs on top 🤤

DeVonn’s mentioned that guava paste is very versatile. I’d really like to know more uses for guava paste.

I do use it to make my own bbq type of sauce for my ribs or chops. I dice some shallots and cook them till translucent in a bit of butter then add guava paste and water to the pan until it melts and become thick. I finish it with come cracked black pepper and a bit of mustard. The paste in a solid form can also be used in your charcuterie board , just slice thin

I'm pretty sure oat milk is also WAY more sustainable than almond milk, too! But I agree. I've not usually been a fan of milk alternatives (to be fair, I have zero lactose issues...but I like to try anyway because of environmental issues with cows milk). And I think oat milk - especially that brand - is the bomb!
Give me every video with Brad and Harold. Every single one.
I literally eat nothing on Kendra's list, yet I enjoyed her segment the best. I'll try adding one or two of her ingredients to my list this week and challenge myself to use it. Love her energy, energy energy! (bts)
Kendra just got on my favorite person list after showing those Korean BBQ Kettle Chips😩😩 I love those chips so much omg they're my favorite chip ever
Tiana's list is very similar to mine. The only difference is chiccory, I usually just rotate between different Asian greens.
Also putting in my vote for Harold being the best
Ooooh! I think I like Jessie’s mixed congee 👀 I never knew it came in a can, but that looks like a breakfast I’d like to keep at my desk
Morocco said he's a terrible shopper and wanders around the market three times, like it's a long process. After watching him shop to recreate dishes, we all know he's zooming around riding that shopping cart like skateboard.❤
Mmmmmmmm 🤤 I’m with Tiana on the kerrigold and oat milk… and the good eggs too! I wanna eat with her! Lol
Yes! Cheez-It Hot & Spicy are sooo good😆

Canned corn beef hash, woooooordddd!!! A total staple, whether you’re living in an immigrant-rich neighborhood, or prepping for the apocalypse 🎉👏🏼🖤
