Just so you know, most of these features were also available in previous versions of Resolve Studio but I put "18.6" in the title because it's the latest version and so it will be the most used search keyword now for NEW users... that's all... 🤷🏻♂️😎🙏🏻

You got yourself a new subscriber. Can you do a 'braw footage from pocket 4K/6K a color space tranform" video in davinci ? I always got confused when I don't find for example the 6K film gamma or color space in the dropdown list.
Great tools and tips! And glad to have done a part of your work by watching. 😅 I'll start to put some videos on my new channel real soon in order to get paid too, with the help of everybody doing their part watching too hopefully. 😊 Salut à toi aussi. Nicely presented, thank you. Just promise you won't fool with that Face Refinement any more! Too me, Magic Mask is the all-time biggie but, of course, your list is clearly specified as 18.6 features. But then, since you include Voice Isolation, a feature included prior to 18.6, it is a biggie too! Yeah, my faves, Magic Mask & Voice Isolation. For all I know, Magic Mask may not even be Neural-engine-based but, as you say, who cares, I only want to use it, not explain it. Appreciate your style, man!

All these features were available in 18.5 I think but since 18.6 is the latest version, I have to add it as a keyword... blame KZread 😉🙏🏻
🙏😂😂😂 thank you!!!
You may have already made a video about how you make your videos, and I will search later. I just want to you to know I am overwhelmed by all the nuances you have added. The background music, the quick zooms matched to your dialog, the amazing titles, the lighting for the studio and you. How much time does it take you to come up with a finished video like this one? You might have already made a video about this! For example, the subject of this video pops into you head, and the clock starts. Turn off the timer when KZread says the episode is ready to view in SD. My guess is three eight hour days!
@JorisHermans

Used to be three days yeah, these days, I do it in two 😉
nice tips! how would you split a video made of several clips into 55 sec clips for vertical content ? is there a way to do it?

Hello Joris, you talk very well about Davinci Resolve, but I think you work mainly with Sony cameras (right?). Mmmm have you think to move to Blackmagic camera? For instance, could you imagine work with the new Blackmagic Cinema 6K? Greetings!
I lost count how many times I laughed 😂😂
nice
🔥
Every of the "smart" options, the reason why i bought the Studio version, chrashes without any error message. I read about many people having issues with 18.6, but it seems to work for you. Do you have any tipps?

I'm wondering if the new features can help with an issue. I have a rendered clip of the timeline that I worked on with a few edits (Just about 1 minute). Can Resolve find the cuts AND the source clips and give me a new timeline (work that I lost)? I hope that makes sense. Basically, can it recreate the edit from a rendered video if I have the source material. Thanks!

mhm, that would be very useful indeed but I think the AI isn't powerful enough yet 🤔
Did I just saw footage from Athens, Greece 😅 (Greek guy here, Saluut 👋)
Darn I just reuploaded a video because I had to much contrast on it and I literally looked like a zombie, as I always have dark eyes. But if I had waited just one more day ... I would have been able to get rid of the dark eyes completely maybe :) Next Time I know better. Good video :)

Scene cuts: good info. How long does it take to generate scene cuts? I tried a 1.6GB file and it estimates 1.25 hours. (Zenith Extreme board, 1950X CPU, Radeon frontier GPU w/16GB, 32GB memory, Windows 11). Does this sound like its in the ballpark, or maybe my rig isn't configured correctly?
@Poepopdestoep
8 ай бұрын
Depends on the file you're using, 1,6GB isn't big at all for a video file. Unless is highly compressed, which in that case would take a lot longer. You can also try to first (if it's h264) convert it to prores or anorther 'pro' codec. Those work a lot faster that compressed video files. Anyways, this feature is one of the oldest features in resolve and one of the fastest. I have a machine with a 3700x and 2070 super and rips right through files no problem.
Sonic Youth! Legends!
