After downloading proto just drag the file in the node viewer in fusion and you're good to go!

Honestly once explained it's fairly intuitive. Thank you for breaking it down so nicely for us newbies! Can't wait to play with the full version
You've actually got so quality stuff on your channel. Keep that up man!
This is insane! Congrats to you and to Patrick for the awesome free plugin!
Thankyou Jamie I was desperately waiting for this video.🥳🥳
I've used Proto a few times before and love it, like most other Plugins from Patrick, but this is insane. I have never even considered something like this would be possible with that effect. You nailed it! I wish you'd take a couple of seconds to mention why you use a specific Node at a specific point as im not too familiar with the fusion page and effects.

Honestly, my videos would be hours long if I explained what I did for every node in every step, and what the tools did specifically. You can always refer to the manual. That’s what I do :-)
That is amazing effect! Thanks for sharing it guys!
Hey jamie loved this one! Need more tutorials like this!!
WOW- this is insane 🤯. Patrick is such a cool guy and I have Proto so I cannot wait to give this a go. Excellent as always sir - cheers 👊🤞

Hi Jamie, your tutorials are awesome. I would like to use this kind of effects but to make the car appear instead of changing the color. With 2 clips, one with the background and one with the car on the background. Switching from fcpx to davinci is not easy but you help a lot! Cheers

just take baby steps, honestly. on this, youre just following his instructions without knowing why. look up some VERY basic fusion tutorials and dive in, its not that bad,. node based comping is your friend and its not really that bad. just start with 2 basic movies and the merge node. merge nodes are the heart and youll be flying in no time. this tut is relatively advanced so dont worry. good luck
@charlieross-BRM

It would have been helpful to indicate at what stages you can say "enough" and exit the fusion tab. I understand several nodes need to work as a set but the end result here was overkill as an example. I would have stopped @5:00 - past that is indulging in the "you can also . . . " territory.
