So full frame is better than APS-C

hey i know I'm late to the party but i would appreciate if you could answer my question... is there ANY way to use 4K and f3.5 and still be able to have a good focus?
What is the name of this app please. I don't understand.
Dayum, this is huge
Great tutorial, much appreciated.
There is huge difference specially with video not to mention sony A7S iii is a video camera not meant to capture stills
First: I like the humor in your smart statements! Second: You really make me curious to give 24 fps a fair chance - after having filmed with 30 fps all the time - and sometimes 60 fps or 120 fps, if I want preserving the opportunity of slow motion. Here in Switzerland I should shoot with PAL 25/50/100 fps - because of the 50 Hz in our electrical grid. I was told that if I don't, artificial light sources would flicker in my Videos. But I made the test and to my surprise this is not the case - I filmed different lights with 30 fps and there was no flickering at all (have no explanation for that). So I am free choosing whatever framerate I want. My stomach and my heart tell me that you can't be wrong with your sense, your perception of 24 fps vs 30 fps. Although my brain is not yet convinced I will film in 24 fps the coming weeks. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, kind regards from Bern country.
Great video 🎉
Loved the video man, I have a old sony mini dcr pc100 that I want to use with these two lens. Do you know of any adapter for my sony camera?
Micro Four Thirds is superior to all other formats for most photographers at any level, most of the time. The very minimal advantages of larger-format cameras are more than offset by their disadvantages. As you say, tech has improved, and it's now at the point where noise is no longer a concern, so there goes "larger sensor advantage" one. Tech has also improved DR to the point where the differences are minimal. Re DoF, a) super shallow DoF is way overdone to the point of being cliché, b) the vast majority of the time, the more DoF, the better, and c) if you can't get shallower DoF simply by varying the aperture, FL, or distance to subject relative to the background, that's on you. The main issue is portability, and that's where MFT really shines. I carry 12-800mm EFL (six lenses, including macro and a "normal" f/0.95), and all of my gear easily fits into a small sling bag or backpack, with a total weight of around 6kg/13 lb. Try that with even APS-C (much less "FF" or MF). Hey, it's your back/neck (and money). You can pretend all you want that larger systems will yield better results, but the opposite is often true. I've never had anyone at a show question my choice of gear--they don't (and shouldn't) care, as long as the images work.
Thank you for your sharing, after one year+ and your video still helps so many people, including me.
...unless you are using a GoPro and they lock the anti-flicker (shutter speeds) and frame rate settings together 😡
thanks for this video it helps me a lot
Loved the video Joris. I really want to get into video editing for commercials.
I'm scouring tutorials and can't find a single one that simply and clearly explains how to retain screen glare on an old TV comp. Can you help?
Definitely learned some cool moves! Thanks @Joris!
Use both. I carry an olympus 12-60mm 2.8, and it's an incredible lens for so many things. I also love my Pancolar 50mm 1.8 or my helios lenses for their character and amazing bokeh. I agree about sharpness being overrated. I think composition and subject matter is much more important and sometimes the vintage lenses while imperfect..render with so much character.
Running out of food and beer is Crazy 😂 but good light overall
Hey Joris thanks for the video!!! You saved me and my next job :) greetings from Italy :)
👍🏾
Simple and effective tutorial thank you.
I just upgraded from the free version of DaVinci Resolve to DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.6.6 in order to find the Film Look Creator shown in this video. But I dont have the "Resolve FX Film Emulation" in the libary and therefore not the "Film Look Creator" neither. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
It's a new feature in version 19 but it's still in beta so it won't update automatically. You have to go to their website and download and install it manually. However, if you have active projects, I would wait or make sure to back up everything... 🫡💯
This was fantastic! I've been so frustrated with my stupid scripts and trying to be real, but reading a script has been killing that idea because it's hard to trust people when they're obviously reading something. It's a bizarre phenomenon.
Sir thank you for this information 🙏
I subscribe to the channel just for your t-shirt. Contents are good to!
Music remixer doesn't show up. I see "Dialogue Lever" and " Docker" only :( Maybe because I got Davinci 19 free version (?)
Studio version only
@@RADERFPV Yes thanx. I managed to notice
Yeah focal length is important to know. I do alot of painting and while I don't use professional cameras, I still have to decide stuff like that even though the camera is not moving. In other words it's helps me think like a cinematographer and director in setting up my shots.
I'm two years late, but this info will be timeless for the foreseeable future, thank you! I'm running a Panasonic G95D and I love Cannons FD lens system and have been searching for a better understanding on speed boosters/focal reducers.
So glad I found this video🤣
Love the vid! What are the tiny LED lights you used?
I think the Film LUTS should be applied after a clip has been converted to rec709 with the associated camera colorspaces AND then converted to Cineon Log. After it is properly converted to CIneon Log the film LUTS can properly be applied. You will still need a CC node before before the nodes, but Cineon Logspace is the standard because film LUTS are created specifically for Cineon Log files. Just my two cents. :) I was composite on a couple Spider-man movies and that's how we rolled. :) Your method will work and will get good results, but each film stock LUT will be altered in the process.
I think Depth Map instead of MagicMask will work too
Thank you, I hope it's useful
I've never seen someone so honest in a sponsored video before. Really appreciate it! Great advice as well
Thank You So Much For The Awesome Tips! I Cant Wait To Edit My Vlog ✌️❤️
erm the magic mask is in the studio version not the free sadly
I just ordered this lens today. I have a ZV-E10, so I guess I'll have it to grow into a full frame camera when I get good.
Whoa!! That's awesome!! Thank you. This is going to make one of my tasks sooo much easier. If anyone is watching, does anyone have a link to a clip where I can show the area of the world by doing a zoom in on a map that looks good, like NOT just zooming on a photo maybe but as it zooms in you see the country name and then cities appear just as it would on google maps? I don't hav ea OBS or a program to just video what my screen is doing and I want it smooth. Thanks so much!
thank you so much. this was very helpful
I think I’m good after watching this video. Got a zve10 with a sigma 16mm f1.4!
Great video. Quick question, when I select my own logo as you did from photos, it pulsates as it moves thru the path. Any ideas?
I think if you already bought DR Studio and buy the speed editor after they should refund you the price of Dr Studio lol
yes
teach me how to travel full time 😊
Bravo 👏
