The thickness is amazing! 😍 Can you do a wash routine video? And how you maintain throughout the week? How you moisturize and wrap at night?
I just started my starter locs yesterday! Went to a shop that’s specialized in them and got the 2 strand twist like you. There just below my ear so I kinda like the length & I WAS gonna add extensions but now that I have starter locs I feel like just going natural all The way so I’ll keep them like this
You do look beautiful and your locs are lovely. I have been watch and learning from you for years. I felt our hair was similar. Now I can see how my locs might come out when I finally do it.

Your LOCS are so beautiful💕 I started my locs the two strand twist method as well. The ACV soaks works wonders and I actually did my first soak at 8 months with no issues. Just did my second one at 19 months. Love how you're embracing your journey. Thanks for the update Queen👑

Those rounded ends 😍 I’m struggling with my starters at the moment (just a month in) because my shrinkage is so drastic so I almost never wear them out. Thank goodness I already own so many headwraps, but I’m really looking forward to either getting even more frizz and fluff so that they look rounded when out or the longer wait for some weight to them when I retain length again. I’m washing every week or every two weeks and hoping the frequent washes help the loc process as my hair tangles. Excited to see your continued progress!

Just go to the beauty shop and get your hair wash for your build up treat yourself love your video
Great video thanks for sharing. Btw didja try Dawn dish detergent just a quarter size to remove the build up and a moisturizer deep conditioner.

Oh, I forgot to add - if you are really bothered about buildup (and especially since you are pretty active and workout frequently) you might decide to continue your maintenance with interlocks. That way you won't have to bother about buildup or unraveling with frequent washing, since you won't need any product except rosewater and a light oil. If it's not something that bothers you just ignore
@NaturallyMichy

That's definitely a possibility in the near future. I won't count it out. 😁
I uses a spray bottle with part water and part acv and spray on my braidlocs. Your locs are beautiful. that inflatable sink thingy yep I need one for my son's hair.

Try Neutrogena Anti-residue shampoo. It works wonders for build up. Just follow up with a moisturizing shampoo and diluted moisturizing conditioner(optional). Use every time you shampoo, rub it into the locs and rinse well.

Your locs are pretty. I'll probably allow my hair to loc once I become about 65. Or I'll just style my hair in the two classic braids we're known for wearing. I'm quite a ways away from 65 but I don't think I'll have the strength to style my natural hair once I'm older. I can't imagine holding my arms in the air to braid it or blow dry it at 70! As for grey hair, my hair has turned WHITE. LOL. My hair skipped the grey phase. And I'm late 40s. But my Mom's hair was snow white by the time she turned 55.

Thank you for sharing! I'm only 34, so I can only imagine how much grey hair I'll have once I reach my 40s. My mother also started greying at an early age, so I have a general example of what to expect in the near future.
Looks good

I’m 6 months into my journey and going through a lot of the same. My locs in the back of head are locking much quicker.... My thing that I’m dealing with though is shrinkage. You don’t seem to be going through much of that. I’m jealous lol
@NaturallyMichy

Yeah, for some strange reason I haven't experience as much shrinkage like I thought I would during this time. Perhaps it just hasn't hit yet, but it's still on its way. We'll see. :)

Oh my word! 😂 You could have been describing MY hair. Every single word. Except my hair is crazy frizzy all over and budding away like mad. I too only wash every four weeks, so you're not alone. When it matures, at the 1 year mark, I'll start washing every 2 weeks. How do you keep it from shrinking up though? It's always so straight in all your videos. Is there something you do to it at bedtime? As always, TFS😊
@NaturallyMichy
4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't do anything that's out of the ordinary when I go to bed. I tuck my hair under a satin bonnet and that's it. When I wake up, I take the bonnet off and allow the hair to fall. I wear my hair down probably 98 percent of the time, so maybe that could be a factor? I haven't experienced much shrinkage during my journey. I'm not quite sure why that is, but perhaps I haven't reached that stage yet or that's just how my journey is going to pan out. I'll probably notice it more when my bob starts to fade away because that's when my sides will start budding and catching up to the rest of my hair.
