You know, I’ve always had this personal theory as to why Neil never shares arm wars rules with other promoters (which is weird). I think it’s because there aren’t really any written or set rules for Arm Wars-if he never publicises or shares any written rules, then Arm Wars can never be really criticised for its officiating and reffing can be as subjective as they want so that the matches are made as good as possible according to the referee’s discretion.

agreed, there have been multiple notable figures in armwrestling that have talked about Neil's secrecy on Arm Wars rules. Luke Pulscher asked Neil for the exact rules so he could understand runners better and ref better...Neil still refused

Yes...arm wars foul calls have always been extremely weird and inconsistent to me, when is it a runner and when is it a stop foul? 😂 How can someone foul again after they get a runner and thats a stop foul with just 1 foul given to the athlete? Makes zero sense. Seems like Neil just wants to do everything possible to make every match end on pins, even at the expense of fairness 🤷‍♂

The referee cheated. He closed the other guy's hand first and Tsvetkov started with a locked wrist advantage. For your 2nd point with his wrist locked in a superior position. You had to overcome this deficit for the 2nd point, but it cost you your wrist.

Never quite understood this system. 1) Why do you have to pin the guy after making a running foul to get a restart. Just count it as 1/2 or 3 fouls (or what is the limit), and continue the match normally. 2) The running fouls were invented to keep the match going, so calling out normal fouls so quickly as "stop fouls" defeats the purpose of the system. Now, where does the line between a stop foul and a running foul lie? To be honest, that is hard to say. Also even if "normal fouls" are counted as running ones, the opponent can still just lift his elbow 5 inches into the air and get a stop foul, and this is when the root of the issue appears again. Perhaps the current EvW-foulsystem is the best in the sport, although it definitely has its drawbacks.
