@@jameswg13 This seems to take it much more seriously; Away Days is fun, no doubt, but it's Ellis and his friends going off for a weekend jaunt to have some beers and watch mediocre football and have a laugh 90% of the time. This more reminds me of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, but with football rather than food being the focus.

Should check out footy adventures he does the British leagues and focuses majority wise in Scotland on teams that are either forgotten or have no PR ect actually does a better job than the SFA of advertising scottish and Welsh leagues

I was thinking the same... I think this would be a great series. Next destination = New Zealand! The name, tucked in in the opposite end of the world a unique collection of islands just as Faroe Islands, food, culture and unique football pro and semi-pro leagues.

It seems like you're built for this documentary style content. The narration, story telling and production are all on point. The Faroe islands seem to have that sense of community that the majority of the world is missing nowadays in 2023, such a beautiful and wholesome place.

It really is, went there in 2017. People in the village we lived in didnt bother locking their homes or cars. Everyone knew everyone and was layed back yet friendly.

Ze, the storytelling, the production, the camera work, all of it is stunning. Please keep making these!

I love the Football Manager stuff, but man, you are both so talented at this type of content.

I shed a tear at the end of the video. This is what football is about, thank you for this, and I hope to see other great videos like this in the future ! Potential idea : Coupe de France is sometimes played in the carribean or in French Guiana, as a matter of fact yesterday the Guadeloupe and Martinique teams both won and are continuing onwards to the 1/32 final where the Ligue 1 clubs enter !

I wouldn't be surprised if his kind of video documentary happens to end up on the TV one day, as someone else wrote, these kind of videos are pure gold.

I loved watching the kids being encouraged. When that kid scored a goal, and 20-30 people were cheering him on, I nearly cried. I agree with your last sentiment: I wish I knew such community and support. From a really early age, my parents, my brothers and sisters, my neighbors, and my teachers all told me I would amount to nothing. I wasn't good at anything. How my life could have changed if I had even a fraction of support these people give to each other. It makes me sad.

That's sweet, but it's definitely too late. My body is broken. There was a bomb in Afghansitan, and a really big cement wall. The days of accomplishing anything are passed. Now in my 50's, with a broken body, and a mountain of debt, any hope of accomplishing anything in my life is gone. Now, all I can do is sit around, and wait for the day my broken body finally gives out on me.@@kapoukapoioskapote

Awsome video! I remember during covid when all football stopped, except for in the Faroe Islands. Football fans here in Norway picked their favorite team and started watching it. Funny times being a Víkingur supporter🤣

This was REALLY well done. Anthony Bourdain would be impressed by the quality and, I believe, honored by the way in which it seems like you're continuing his tradition, substituting football for food.

Man o Man. I think this will win a competition for the best sports documentary. What a beautiful story and such nice cinematography from a single person crew. Really touched by the story and also felt jealous from the town. One thing for sure i am going to start to follow the nordic leagues. This is something insane from a country this small.

I just bought FM 2024. So was binging the channel for help. Then i saw this. My god, the amount of effort, and then they way this is set up. Not as an oddities thing. But with respect and a honest search in what this club and thing is. I am so impressed, for me this is what channels as Sam Harris and stuff should be. You earned not only a sub but a real fan.

Extraordinarily well done. The ending though was quite sudden as I wanted more. You should have also given yourselves some kudos with some credits at the end so those unfamiliar with your names will get to know the talents Zealand and Adler. Bang on boys!

I loved every minute of this. I was lucky enough to have been to the Faroes and I felt that communal atmosphere you are talking about instantly. I did not want to leave and have fantasised about moving there ever since. The people are not only very communal, they are also very creative. The music and arts scene is unreal for a population this small.

I've just realised that even my profile pic is still from that stay. A ram, on green Faroese grass, by the blue waters of the Atlantic. Come to think of it, I believe I actually took the pic right outside Klaksvik.

That was absolutely gorgeous, man! A fantastic little documentary. I really wanted to visit Faroe Islands before, but now I know no one will stop me from doing just that! Also, I watched both matches of Klaksvík against Slovan (since I'm Slovak) and the way they played was really impressive. Slovan might not be a big club, but I'm pretty sure anyway that any one of their players makes as much as the entire monthly wage budget of KI - and yet they were both close 2:1 wins. Hats off!

This may be the best video I've seen on youtube. A great little mini-documentary about not just the team, but the towns, peoples, and cultures.

One of your best videos ever. Captured the warmth of the people so well. Things like community really feel in short supply these days. Internet communities may be communities, and just as warm as real life ones, but they're often ephemeral, flawed and finite. This, if anything, is real.
