Maybe I don't get it but if you tell me that a soccer player who is incapable of actually anything relating to soccer other than running up and down the pitch fast and being strong can still be an elite player... that doesn't make sense to me. Like when you say "who cares if his heading is 1, with 20 jumping he's winning all the headers..." then what's the point of the actual ability to a) make contact with the ball with your head, and b) direct it where you want to go with your head? It's like saying a NFL player who is fast and strong but can't catch and has no technical skills to play the game can still be a star - like that would not be. Can't tackle, can't pass rush, can't block, can't throw...what are you going to do? You have to do something relating to the skills of your position. Otherwise, track stars and pro weightlifters would be the best NFL players in the world. But the list of fast "measurables" who never develop mental or technical skill being busts is long. So, if you're telling me, even with stamina and determination about average Prem level that he can't do ANYTHING ELSE related to the game of soccer and a team of those guys is still elite... it diminishes the importance. LIke you said "well they still finished 25 points less..." the still made the Prem version of the playoffs! And they, literally, can't dribble the ball! Like I'm already feeling silly about caring about how aggressive the player is or how composed he is or how well he makes decisions or sees plays or being able to create and take the opponent by surprise or shoot, etc. All those things are literally 1.

I won the Copa Libertadores with C.A Huracán using a 3-4-3, the line of four are wing-backs and two defensive midfielders. The top Brazilian teams couldn't deal with it. Use either a Pressing or Deep Lying forward to close the space.

Ok i got a story for the my player is better. I had Abline a french striker and he had a 60 goal+assist season as we got almost won league 1 and reached the europa league final but he didnt get a call for france with colo muani getting that spot with his 5 goals in 45 games for psg...
