Kinda a random question but y’all seem experienced so how do y’all beat teams that you always seem to lose too. Like I’m manager of Tottenham and I can never seem to beat Liverpool. I know their a better team on paper but I thumped city 3-0, beat United and chelsea 2-1 so I feel like it’s only a matter of time but after like 7 games I’ve only beaten them once and that was in the first season where I parked the bud at anfield and got the luckiest last minute winner ever.

I've played FM for years, i also still do press conferences, you can get opponent to get complacement, or triggered by mind games, some of your players morale will be boosted. It goes fast as well

I'm a few years into swapping to FM and I still do most of my press conferences and make sure I'm doing team talks with every sub for that morale boost

Christ, I was watching the highlights of the highlights and I was still invested.

For me his semifinal (the episode before this) is truly what fm is all about. Very entertaining from him

That was honestly brilliant work from him still tho. Bloody premier league with Manchester United in the first season. It wasn’t like he made many HUGE signing and trusted in his squad.

@@nigelbhebhe2805 Beat them with Porto. 2034 so team was pretty stacked with top talents. Tactic was ol’reliable 4-2-3-1 gegenpress with 2 inside forwards and target forward at ‚9’

Haven't touched FM since 2020, but what i do when things get bored is take elite players like say mbappe and just dump them into your rival team or when i was playing, dump them to real/barcelona/liverpool etc. Just makes them stronger to give you a challenge when you're unbeatable by a big margin

Just started my first FM game a few weeks back. Taken Derby County from League 1 to the champions league final in 7 years. Won Europa League last year the first time I entered it. Is it always like this?

I said the exact same thing you said at 1:40 . I wouldve sold half the team and it wudve taken half the year for the new one to gel, most of the subs coming in a january window... He just played with who he had ! Only big thing id tell him is to save his subs for more attacking outlets rather than defensive ones (unless someone is rly shitting the bed like 6.4 or below when every1 else is a 6.6+), but he has got it down!

Am currently 3 years deep (going into 4th season now) into my save with MFK Chrudim (founded in 2011) in the Czech Republic league! I won the 2nd divison first season, beat relegation in the top Division 2nd year and finished 7th but won the "UECL Playoff tournament" to get a place in the Europa conference! currently spending hours on transfers to make sure I'm ready. Marquee signings has been Oli Mcburnie and Vincent Aboubakar who I got on frees and are on 1.8k wages (my highest earners) I just missed out on the next Busquets from Czech as Arsenal signed him because I didn't have any money to buy him in January :( ON WE GO

He was still changing tactics every other game, or ever other match week so his team never had any familiarity. In press conferences I gave found that if any of your former player is playing against in you in the next match and the press ask you about it, just have a go at the player saying he is useless against me. Each time he reacts badly and has a bad game.

I think you can say though that he started as an already pretty good club in a pretty good league, Man United in the Premier League, that is an easier save than say winning the Champions League as a club from Romania or Belarus or even Switzerland or the Netherlands, so for me I think the difficulty discussion is more "You create your own difficulty, want an easy mode, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Man United, Chelsea, AC Milan and Inter Milan are all easy mode saves, normal difficulty would be a North American save or an A-League, J-League, K-League save while hard saves would be Singapore league, Romanian league saves and so on and so forth.

2:25 Career mode players have been doing that for years so it's not necessarily a FM exclusive trait to have
