@justinbrown1934 I use to guide if you want tips or tricks to make it easier but if you're going solo I assume you kinda got it down
Glad you got out to do this trip Shug! Actually, I think a bit of rain adds character to any trip! The canoe looked awesome too. A great solo, different from hiking along on land, very different perspective! Loved the Moose in full velvet antlers! Take care old buddy, and traverse the planet for those of us who would love to join you someday! Best - Skypainter

I do so agree. We spend most time getting out of the rain. Seeing that bull moose was a brilliant moment for sure. Paddling to east portage on Snipe through the narrows. Early morn and water like glass. Quiet. The come around the bend and there was the bull moose just munching away. Relaxed. I was pretty close. Shaking with excitement at first. He'd to quit filming to take a few calming breaths. We hung out enjoying each other. As I paddled away he was still in the water eating.
Gotta say, I know you’re primarily a backpacker but I LOVE your canoe trip videos!

Hi Shug, I wanted to say thanks for all your videos over the years they are hands down my favorites. I bought a Superior Gear hammock for winter camping and slept outside in 35 below up in the BWCA and it performed great and you were the one that put me on to them.

Sure eat better on a canoe trip. Don't have it on your back all day. Portages seem easy to a backpacker.
My kind of trip: quiet, simple. You just drift through and observe. And you make your food look good. I worry too much about weight and skimp on flavor on those long trips, but it looks worth the tiny bit of extra heft. Thanks for sharing.
