+MoonLiteWolf Thought the exact same thing. I grew up on Anime and animation (didn't start watching live action TV until college) so I'm used to the same voice actors. Sometimes its fun to catch the references. For example, in one of the Justice League episodes, a team of 5 villains for no reason whatsoever other than just for kicks integrated the same team from Teen Titans to do voice work. Sometimes its really fun to find when they reuse voice actors or you find out one who the voice actor is and it is really surprising. Like Joker from 1993 Batman was the same voice actor as the Firelord, Mark Hamill from Luke Skywalker fame.

First you hear one or two bad voice actors in one show and you can still enjoy it, but then you hear the *same* damn *very* bad voice actors again, and again, and again.....I feel like we only have 8 voice actors here and all of them are horrible....and not just in cartoons, in hollywood movies too. It's so god damn annoying...

#1 is actually really cool. Over the past few years, ive gained a deep appreciation for voice acting. These are the unsung heroes of the acting world. They do just as much work, if not more so than on screen actors and get a fraction of the appreciation for it. For instance, everyone knows Leonardo DiCaprio but how many know J. Michael Tatum? The answer? Not many. Which is a shame, ive seen him at my local anime con. He is a fabulous human being, emphasis on the fabulous part ;)

I don't know what's so "child hood ruining" about the same actor voicing lots of characters. It just shows an actor's skill in how they can vary their range of voices and character personalities.

I appreciate the cartoons, but I hold even higher appreciation for the voice actors.even though I can do about ten different voices, I still am amazed that its possible for one human being to do more than two similar voices.if you go to "Ahoyhoy! me as Simon Seville" or Ahoyhoy !more impressions" you can hear my impressions! its really fascinating that people can have a nasally voice ,like me, and make it go higher or lower to perfectly imitate cartoon characters. I can go as low as Selma Bouvier, and as high as Theodore Seville. I can also do Stewart Dooley, Beavis and Butt-Head, Ralph Wiggum, Charles Montgomery Burns , and more!

Ariel isn't a hoarder, she is a collector. A hoarder does not keep their things neatly organized on shelves in one contained area. To be a hoarder the items have to prevent you from living comfortably. Ariel might have an impressive collection but it's still contained within an area and doesn't pose a health or safety risk to anyone in the ocean.

Eh, last one is a childhood enchancer imo, it connects the shows and opens up loads of new posibilities with full or partial crossovers. It doesn't ruin the magic at all.

I'm not trying to heckle but how is number 7 childhood ruining? I marvel at the amazing variety of voices voice actors and actresses can come up with. That fact should surprise anybody past age 12 because we all know who Tara Strong is. Sorry if that came off as rude, but, honestly.....

Number 7 is A. not that surprising B. Not childhood ruining (for me at least) it just shows how talented some voice actors can be. For example, let's go to gravity Falls. For those of you who've watched it and knows the character. Soos, Gruncle Stan and Bill Cipher are all voiced by the same person...so there.

+CycloneJoker911 just quick to add, they're all voiced by the creator of the show, in case anyone didn't know :P also the guy who did homestarrunner/strongbad was on that show. but I don't remember as who, or what he did. I just remember losing my mind watching a behind the scenes thing and seeing strongbad and gruncle stan have a conversation through these nerdy white dudes lol

This was interesting. Childhood not really ruined, but still I learned new things.

The last one was actually pretty tight to me.

I will disagree with the notion that one guy playing countless voices of your favorite characters ruins it. Quite the contrary, if you have one actor who plays several roles that you love, that just makes it all the better when you find out they play a DIFFERENT role. It lets you appreciate how far their talents can go, and if you're like me and frequent conventions and get the chance to meet them, it's a great experience. Take Scott McNeil for example. Voice of Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing, Protoman and Dr. Wily in the 90s Megaman Ruby Spears cartoon, one of the Flim Flam brothers in MLP FiM (the one with the mustache.) and 5 different characters in Beast Wars. Gundam, Megaman, and Transformers were ALL huge parts of my childhood, and having ONE guy involved with all 3 just made it better. That binds them together and gives a common face to 3 of my favorite shows. What makes it better is that Scott playing 5 characters in Beast Wars (4 main characters, one minor one-off character) makes for some great situations. He voiced Rattrap, Silverbolt, Dinobot, and Waspinator. All 4 of these characters have polar opposite personalities, and different voices, and when they're the only characters on screen, seeing how they bounce off eachother, then remembering that it's ONE guy, makes it that much more hilarious. Rattrap and Dinobot were constantly at eachother's throats, Silverbolt was the gallant and chivalrous one, and Waspinator was everyone's punching bag. I actually asked him what it was like to do that, and he commented "Everyone else would leave the room and say 'Scott's having a party with himself'." So, that doesn't ruin childhoods in my eyes, but makes it even BETTER. But to be fair, in the same breath, it CAN damage the actual CHARACTER, depending on how the producers use this. Tara Strong, voice of Raven in Teen Titans, and Twilight Sparkle in MLP. We know Raven for being dark and depressed, and suppressed. She doesn't allow herself to enjoy bright and cheery things because if her emotions get too high, bad stuff happens. Very first thing we see in Teen Titans GO! is Raven playing with ponies. I know this is supposed to be a reference to the same actress playing a character from MLP, but it destroys a pre-established character, which is one of the WORST things you can do when making a spin-off or sequel. And to my knowledge, the producers of TTG have said that this DOES take place in the same timeline, so that makes it even worse.

I'm 11 I want my childhood to be ruined... Who the heck would ever say something like that???

Lol, #1 is so true. I swear my jaw dropped so hard when I found out some of my favorite characters share the same voice actor you could hear it from a mile away. Steve Blum is another awesome voice actor who does a TON of voices. He has such a sexy voice, too... XD

Kid, don't you realize that these are the things that make cartoons timeless. I was a little kid in the 1950's and Bugs Bunny and friends were pretty raunchy for their time. We just didn't know till we got older. That's where the fun was. Stop being a whoosy. Your childhood wasn't ruined,it was enhanced.

Why would characters being voiced by the same people ruin anything? I find it interesting, for example, that Sheila Broflovski is the same voice actor as Izzy from Digimon.

I laughed so hard in the episode where Spongebob turned "normal" and pointed out to Squidward that he doesn't wear pants lol

#1 I realized even as a child. That was part of the character development; Helga comes from a shitty home. #2 Teenage angst, so what? #3 Too much logic applied to a cartoon. #4 Having a collection doesn't equal hoarding. She lives in the ocean, she ain't hurtin for space. #5 Too much logic applied to a cartoon. Again. #6 Eh, they got away with it because of the fact that children don't censor what they say, and it was true to life. Kids say and do stuff that isn't polite or PC. They just wrote very believable child characters and didn't wash out the stuff that sounded 'wrong'. #7 Sorry, knew that. So, when does my childhood get ruined again?

My childhood is in the past: it can't be "ruined". It's been and gone. New perceptions can "ruin" present and future outlooks - but they cannot ruin childhood because it's in the past. It happened. By the way - ducks are awesome.

Not true. You can develop a negative perception of your childhood, that may make it too traumatic for you to think about it, effectively ruining it. Like maybe learning your favorite teacher was actually a child rapist, or your best friend's parents were murderers. That would probably mess up my childhood memories.

lOl, that part with Ariel reminds me of what I do! I often feel emotionally attached to random things, such as, eh, starburst wrappers, drawings, that 60th anniversary package of peeps, etc.
