Sedans are really a very hard sell nowadays especially in market where people prefer to go for mini SUV's when they are looking in the "bigger than hatchback but not as big as an SUV" segment

I think the reason camry doesn't sell in India is coz of that cab image..I mean I have always seen camry used as taxi in American shows sooo maybe that can also be the reason

Ya bro....! Marazzo is a awesome car. I am using this for last 3 years. I recently tuned this. Now its very punchy with superb mileage for a heavy car. I got above 20 kmpl on eco mode on highways. Super spacious and very comfortable car in every sense.

20kmpl on a SUV is definitely something i did not expect My old car has claimed mileage of 18 and gives around 20 on highway. but it is a hatchback. 20kmpl on a SUV is absolutely insane assuming you ain't lying

It needs a very disciplined driving with feather touch throttle. It can get that only in eco mode. Its upto u guys to believe or reject...!!!

The JTP twins didn't sell well because they were only sold for a year or 2. Tata built those cars in partnership with Jayem automotive (who made all the upgrades) but in late 2019 Tata ended the partnership and didn't bother updating the JTP twins to BS6.

issues with engine and turbo which they could not resolve so discontinued. the same setup for 80bhp was used to handle 115bhp so there were mechanical failures all the time. it was painful which these stupid folks did not think. they never test properly and just launch. No QC.

​@Tech cloud Don't spew BS. Tata's 1.2 Revotron is already proven and it produces more torque in Nexon and is still reliable with many Nexons having covered more than 2 lakh kms

I think Alturas should have a Manual option, my Mama asked for some car recommendations from me when he was upgrading from Scorpio S11, I told him to get ethier Alturas or Endeavour (back when it was available) but both of those don't offer Manual gearbox so he went with Fortuner manual. I see many people still prefer Manual cars here in India so manufacturers should atleast offer one manual variant in their cars.

Fortuner is reliable car and more like a sub brand from Toyota. They use kaisen to get the quality right. Can ford or mahindra claim these? they might look good in short run but anyone looking for car should not be bothered about cheaper car.

@@techcloud2510 Our choice for the car had nothing to do with the price, we were just looking for an upgrade from the Scorpio and our criteria for the car was that it had to be a Diesel SUV with Manual transmission. So, there's only one option: Fortuner 💁

@@techcloud2510 I don't know about Ford but I think Mahindra gets a bad rep for not being reliable, and I don't get it. Since childhood I have been surrounded by Scorpios and Boleros and to me they seem pretty reliable. They are true workhorses which a Innova/Fortuner can never be because of the price and they are considered premium cars. They have never left us stranded in middle of nowhere, service and repair are very cheap. But Mahindra truly doesn't know how to tune it's suspensions, you notice it when you sit in any other car than Mahindra.

@Abhinav Kp Sure they do, but since this video is about what we think and our opinion. I think and have seen many people still prefer Manual over Automatic and vice versa. So, in my humble opinion for the Alturas, it should be offered with a Manual, that could have attracted the people like us who went with Fortuner for the manual offering.

@faisal , i truely agree on Marazzo as i am a owner of M6+ and i can tell you that ride , handling braking, cruising on highway is absolute gold, love the way it sails . Gonna love it forever i just got it lifted by few inches which got the ground clearance problem fixed

I bought a jazz CVT last month… with a good discount no nonsense feature … superb highway behaviour Very comfortable for elderly people ! I was using a polo so in search of second car but only one car with space is jazz … and if you understand the engine behaviour this car can be rocket 🚀 not as POLO gt tsi but a comfortable car

The reason why creta or seltos is selling more main because of its engines, Hyundai still offers a 4 cylinder where as the germans offer a three cylinder turbo whose life or reliability in general is still unknown.

Engine malfunction, random fire in new vehicle in the middle of road (called 5 lac vehicles back), chassis got cut in half in accident. I mean be it any intensity of the accident, even maruti car don't get cut in half like a cake.

i own a marrazo m8 white bought in 2019........definately its a superb car to drive with great handling and enourmous amount of space for my family........the engine on the paper feels small but i have been driving it for 4 years and i never felt that it is underpowered it has great torque, and surprisingly i have had an hassle free experience i dont know why it dint sell in indian markets

4:20 talked with a few fleet owners in mumbai like revv they said marrazo is mostly used by call centre employees as milage is an issue and the looks are a bit old now

the marazzo is really popular among office cabs and everytime i sit in one it's super comfy, glides through big potholes easily has good space too

I love the Jazz, i have it since 2015, aaj tk wo uska engine wesa ka wesa hai, no changes in performance, it is a practical and comfortable car, just love it, kost value for money car for me ❤️

I purchased a marazzo on 2018 and clocked 213450 kms so far. No issues. Just general maintenance of 10000kms once. Clutch plate changed twice. Shocks once. When reads an article about the discontinuation, i purchased another one with 1.5 lakhs discount. Am damn sure marazzo is a very practical and reliable car.

I own The Honda jazz peddle shift, it's a 2016 model, when no other car came with a peddle shift in that price or segment Still it outperforms many other cars in comfort, inside space, road grip, acceleration and yes i know you'll ask for average too, on Highway at 70/80 kmph I've got 25 km/ litre And the thrill of driving it is only surpassed by it's sibling the Honda City

I’m really sad for jazz. I own a 2019 petrol jazz which I bought because I lost my Honda city in an accident and I didn’t want to go for polo as I already had a skoda rapid as my primary car. Trust me apart from being the most practical car in its segment it’s clearly a very fun to drive car. There is some amount of top end fun, not as much as the city and the steering Feel and feedback is better than rapid. High Speed ride is not as complaint as polo but other than that the cornering the revving is so good. It’s a Beautiful car, all Honda needed was to introduce a more powerful engine and some more features.

@@techcloud2510 everyone knows i20 is a boat. True car enthusiasts know that it’s not always about going straight cause you Have to turn also. New i20 has a good Drive but jazz has a much better steering Feel and feedback. I’m a rapid as well as a Punto owner so ik what good steering, ride and handling feels like and Hyundai is nowhere close.

I was hoping the Jazz was in there, somewhere, and glad it was.... Honestly, that car is just godly😍 we had that car for 3 years, and my god it was awesome. Class-leading Rear space comfort, boot space, engine, low noise for the petrol, and of course the trademark Honda practicality of scooping out storage space wherever possible. When we evaluated our options, we checked out the Baleno, didn't like it as much, didn't really think of going for the I20 cuz of the suspension and steering on that car, and then really settled on the Jazz becuz it was the best of the lot. It broke my heart to see that car get discontinued. Although, Honda only have themselves to blame for the lack of sales for the Jazz. They messed up the pricing, and didn't provide the USP that is, the magic seats across the range (that came only on VX)

They removed magic seats from jazz. And I was watching reviews of HRV, and got to know, they introduced magic seats in HRV again. Seems like Honda is getting inspired by my ex girlfriend. Truly unpredictable. 🤦

I own a nissan kicks 1.5 petrol , the best car in the segment if your looking for a car that drives better off and not much with the fancy features. This car is just on point for the ride quality and comfort of the passengers, sad thing it didnt perform well in the indian market !

Mahindra Marazzo is a very VFM proposition. Also in terms of cabin space, features, engine, etc it is very practical. It surely needs to sell in larger numbers considering it is a genuine MPV and can give Carens a run for its money of it could launch in Petrol version as well. Really hoping they launch a Petrol version for Marazzo

Honda didn't seem to be serious about Indian market. Most global brands are trying hard to get positioned themselves in emerging Indian market meanwhile Honda with reputable presence in India are losing ground.

So refreshing you mentioned Kicks. I have it and it is a rockstar car, can handle anything thrown at it, and looks so much premium than it is. High ground clearance, low price, solid built, great nvh , equipped with features under 10L! Great deal.

Mine too though no doubt nissan killed it first with aggressive pricing and then with variant division. But its indeed an exceptionally well built car at a great pricing

Most of these cars are not a choice due to new emission norms but yes Marazzo is an amazing car.

The Marazzo is the car for me. I hope they don't discontinue it. And I don't understand why all the tour and travel agencies buy Innovas at premium price when they can get a Marazzo for doing the exact same job at less price.

The Marazzo is so much left out that Mahindra is actually paying more commission for the sales executives for selling a Marazzo.

Both the alturas and marrazo failed because of Mahindra's inability to properly market and update their new products. They've thankfully changed that with their new post 2020 lineup. I'd also say one of the shortcomings of the marrazo was the lack of a good automatic version.

Im really sad for marazzo, carnival and alturas g4. I have test driven marazzo, superior comfort and performance compared to xl6 or ertiga I liked its comfort better than innova crysta. And that diesel engine packs a wallop; same engine from xuv300. But due to bad marketing it's losing. If they introduce petrol and price it even agressive and market it better it'll sale better i feel. Since we were looking for petrol we went other way.

The sales of the MG Gloster pain me a lot. Being a proud Gloster owner, this car is way too underrated. India has a good market for consumers who want a luxurious full sized SUV in 40-50 lakhs budget, but still go for options like Fortuner😢

Sir, 10 year old fortuners, probably after clocking 500000 kms, torn seats, worn out gear levers, old looking brake pads, are sailing very soomthly on expressways, with it's parts functioning as smoothly as they were new. After two-three years, your Gloster would be found struggling on potholes and bad roads. And as they say about Chinese products, "Chale to Chand tk, nahi to Shaam tk"...

Tiago JTP was my goal , I remember I was still in college when it launched, I went to check out the car at our local dealership and they didn't even have one at the display and when I enquired, they said they had one at their yard but when I sat down with the executive to discuss why I only want that particular model he was not ready to beleive me that the car offered such performance he was already believing that the JTP model was a total sticker job, Tata failed to make their executives believe that the JTP was performance oriented, let alone their customers.

The honda br v bro its such a good car even it has more ground clearance than safari it has the same amount of ground clearance as MG GLOSTER! it did not have to be discountinued. I have a V CVT.

Need the JTP back from Tata across models. Have the JTP and love it. There are approx 215 only in the country.

Even the Skoda Superb is one of them. Offers great features and comfort but still a bit rare to see one on the road.

My sister has a carnival 7 seater and we stuff 11 people by sitting on small stools chairs coz yes it has that much space whenever we go for a vacation (yes the luggage also fits) I love it but I won't buy it coz of the simple fact it's not the new model offered worldwide

Mahindra alturus G4 was an suv that can give a direct rival to both endeavour as well as fortuner but too bad it didn't sold well due to their market strategies and hence finally it discontinued.

Alturas is basically still a Ssanyong, it has features but is underpowered and less reliable. I agree with marazzo though. It rides and handles way way better for a vehicle on a ladder chassis with negligible body roll even with a single or two people in it. Very practical gets sliding and reclining seats for rear passangers as well. The only bad thing is the front bumper. Lowered and very soft front suspension resulting in it hitting the road if you are not careful on speed bumps.

Hey Faisal, which car should I choose? The innova hycross topend or the kia carnival prestige? The difference is only 4 lacs.

I planned to purchase Morazzo, then the salesperson told that there is an issue with the engine that you really can't drive in less then 60kmph for more distance. So I switched to KIA Carens

I Iike the jeep meridian so so so much love it grew up watching American cars and trucks there is one jeep meridian in ooty its a beautiful car wow oh man its black in colour its lengthy its so highness like ,,, like clear windows white interior and it gives a rich look its a nice vehicle ive seen some wranglers in bangalore and also in ooty which is registered to KA ,,, when ford leaves JEEP comes in

I think the new Tucson should be included in the list Design are outstanding ! Interior is nice and engine is also quite decent

I guess price plays a very important role in this list of failures. If customers do not view them as value for money propositions, sales will never really take off. It's funny how most benchmarks are set against Toyota cars but yet the competition fails to make a dent, since they end up being less reliable than their Japanese counterparts. For example, Instead of just launching different colored versions of their line up, like black edition, camo edition etc. Tata needs to seriously concentrate on their after sales if they need to be a reliable brand.

Please drive review the nexon diesel bs6 stage 2, i see there is an increase in horsepower, it is a fun car but is it more fun now?

Problem with the Nissan Kicks was that they made a DOA product, plus when almost everywhere it got better platform, in India they used the Dacia B0 platform and also designed it very outdated and priced it premiumly leading to easy failure

Figo Diesel (2nd Gen) remains on top of the list for me.

We have a marazzo and ngl it's a great vehicle, sadly ours is M4 so no reverse camera (insane blind spots) no infotainment screen & no steering mounted control plus 3rd really still isn't that practical, tho compared to ertiga it offers slightly more space for knee room. Yes ofc 1st & 2nd offer immense amount of spacing. We also get arm rest standard, Bluetooth FM radio, a very powerful diesel engine, a 6 speed manual & yes a very awesome mileage for such a big car specially in city (easily 16, on highway +22). And I would also like to point out the Tiago JTP part, this is the second time (1st was just a month back coz Instagram) I've heard of it's existence while for tigor JTP it's first. I was shook when I read that it's a 3 cylinder turbocharged engine car with such a beautiful looking car toning! Also would like to point out that the same is kinda happening to TIAGO NRG, next to meh advertising, no test drive, no showroom showcase cars available, no efforts by sales executives to mention of it (it's value for money car tbh specifically against current prices of Altroz other than spacing it offers a lot for such cheaper pricing) and yes even if you wanted to buy one NRG you would have to book it like a month or so early to even see it. Fortunately the TATA corp isn't doing the same unfairly with Altroz racer.

Santro was such a clean, mature and sober design, an honest car with good room inside and looked proper European. Engine and gearbox were good too. Sad that the Wagon R and i10 ousted it.

I have tigor jtp 2019, i am from Hyderabad. Mileage is 11kmpl in the city and around 13 on the highway. Looks tall and buff from behind. Drive quality is good too but i am yet to see another tigor jtp in the city
