Hi Ro! Can you please do a video if psychology is the right career for you in terms of personality traits etc? I am unsure if I have what it takes in terms of patience, sitting still and listening to heavy topics all day 😅

I have lived experience with a psychotic illness but consider myself extremely lucky because i had a fantastic EPI team. It was actually them that inspired me to study psychology and hopefully be working in the public sector in future (although ive been sidetracked by how much i love research!). I never considered that my experience could be used to help young people going through what i went through. I'd love if you could give some links or resources for this 'peer worker' thing. It sounds like something id love volunteering some time for.

Oh amazing! I'm not sure about volunteering however I do know there's a "Certificate IV Mental Health Peer Work" which is a training pathway for work. If you want to concentrate on research for now the course is open to all ages. Off the top of my head I do wonder if places like headspace might accept casual volunteers if you reach out and another amazing org is batyr who recruits speakers with lived experience to share their stories in school workshops :) all the best!

Hey, Ro! Hope everything going great, I wanted to ask if you could do a case study? It would be so so helpful for us ( budding clinical psychologists ) This would give us a great insight into how psychologists treat, what they deal with etc. And once again a great video
