"Studying is a state of mind" So, in order to study effectively you must change your state of mind. To do this, listen to classical music like mozzart. It helps you focus on what you are studying, keeps your mind awake, and doesn't distract you since it is the only music in the background and no lyrics so your brain will not sing the lyrics. Also, when you when a favorite perfume or smell. Wear it when you are studying and when the time f your examination or presentation wear the same scent and you will remember what you have studied. I don't know if it will work on you but just try it. Hope that helps :)

The music tip is a really great one, I always mix up different styles of non-lyrics music and it works great. Heard of that perfume hack before, some of my friends tried it with alcohol, but obviously this is ill advised ;).
