You literally just read the website for each service... I was hopping for a little bit more opinion on them.

Agreed. Creating a free account for each and showing how each approach finances: querying transactions, categorizing, budgeting, organize tax exemptions, etc. He just navigated their home marketing pages...

After using mint for 10 years and I get into it, I wouldn’t recommend the transfer to credit karma. A fraction of the functionality.

I just did the transfer and regret it. 😬 you cant view transactions for each card separately, categories are very broad and cannot create subcategories to be more specific, plus no setting up budget option. Once you convert there is no way to access mint account anymore even thought I think it is still available until march 2024

I went the monarch route and have been on it since the beginning of the year. Took me a couple months to get used to the way their budget works but now I really like it. The forecasting for your budget is really useful and I like the way the goals work actually. I at first didn’t like the concept of assigning every dollar you make a job but now I love it. I know it costs per month but a lot of that cost is giving way better connectivity to your accounts.

😅 I love your videos as I am still searching for my Mint replacement. I am not looking for a plethora of features I won’t need or use. I want to budget my money seeing where it’s going and reports of how I spend so I can make wise decisions. What is your honest assessment of Pocket Guard?

Trying Monarch on a trial now. Loving it so far. Definitely better than Mint. YNAB looks good too, but I like the clean look of Monarch and the focus on investments. My only issue is assigning transactions to goals; however, I saw the CEO state they are working on improving it and seems like they are constantly making things better.

With empower, they can connect to my bank and show me balances, but not transactions. I've contacted them a few times over the last month or so and *if* I get a response, it's "we'll look into that.". Challenging. 😕
