    Had 01 duramax dually put bully dog blew injectors then replaced them and put ppe on it then less then a month later broke crank shaft , not sure why it gave but now I drive 03 7.3 and love it.

    The sled can be set up different to be used on different tracks. Just because you saw someone run 250 ft with a sled on your hometown, doesnt mean that this truck didnt pull the hell out of it at 150ft. Use your head

    Yeah I did. I don't like banks, like black smoke. Whole reason I am a diesel fan. Love the sound, and black smoke.

  • @TwinStickFilms
    @TwinStickFilms14 жыл бұрын

    The reason for white smoke on pullers: These motors can run as low as 11:1 compression. The reason for such low compression is because if you still ran like a 16-17:1 compression and running that high of boost, you will really tear your motor apart. For this reason, they use lower compression Since diesels require heat to ignite, you don't actually get heat to ignite the diesel fuel until the turbo spools up since heat to ignite the fuel comes from the turbos with that low of compression.

    Sounds better than a cummins pulling, they just scream and have no bark to it, unless you had stacks...

    180psi! That means the inlet tract has more pressure than an average steam train! Thats insane! Wonder how long its meant to run for before rebuild?

    I believe the smaller stack is a direct waste gate vent to keep the turbos from blowing but i could be wrong there, not a diesep mechanic but theres something similar to that on my buddies 280 z turbo.

  • @jesshwarren
    @jesshwarren13 жыл бұрын

    @saradawn6 This is not a Cummins diesel this is a 7.3L powerstroke. Lots of fuel, 180PSI of boost and still fuel left to burn.

  • @MrFritz6940

    Id say that smaller stack is the crankcase vent. Crazy

  • @240sxRule

    Everyone looking at the small stack. Its a waste gate stack. Waste gates limit boost by venting off exhaust gases.

    @jesshwarren it may sound and act like a cummins cause it has a similar common rail fuel injection system to accomplish what it has

    @jesshwarren lol yeah diesel power magazine said this truck makes well upwards of 1500 hp, and ben himself said it makes around 1800. I mean, its a mechanically injected 7.3 liter, thats not even an unrealistic hp number!

    that thing looks like its gonna blow up at the start and this might be the only powerstroke puller because everyone has established 7.3s blow and cummins are better for with standing high hp and high rpm go cummins

    you obviously dont know what you are talking about, the more airflow(air/fuel ratio) the truck has the less it will smoke, smoke is only generated from fuel that gets burnt in somewhere other than the cylinder because there wasnt enough catalyst(air) to mix with it, meaning more airflow less smoke

  • @Ready2Run1
    @Ready2Run112 жыл бұрын

    @saradawn6 any diesel will smoke if you turn up the fuel pump enough.

    Not from boxes, and do you own a 6.4L? NO. I have the Elite Stacks... I have had the shit ford put on this truck to keep it "clean". I have a buddy who is a Powerstroke mechanic. Every PSD I've owned hes done what I wanted to it. SCT Tuner that ain't even out yet is the tuner I got. The 6.4L just came out, and yeah you "use to be" you still haven't said anything except something one could pick up from a website. I never read no boxes, dyno'd at Indiana University College. 600 HP 868lb of torque

    same thing with a built 1500+hp cummins or duramax. Once you get to those kinda power levels just about everything that came on the engine from the factory will need to be upgraded. not trying to start a brand war, just stating that any engine (gas or diesel) thats making 5x stock power will need some serious mods to achieve it

    Wrong - they will go way over that. The 6.4L is much more efficient. Removing all that smog crap increases fuel economy and HP right off the bat to begin with. Straight stacks, K&N Cold Air In-take. I got a tuner, and I don't even have the full banks stuff I could get, and this thing is strong at 600 HP. Theres a guy on here with more then me, and hes not done that much to his, look it up.

    Aha, well if you want to get technical. Then: PSIGuage would be 0 and PSIAbsolute would be approximately 14.7 depending on your altitude. Technically just saying PSI doesn't make a distinction between the two.

  • @joffeloff
    @joffeloff12 жыл бұрын

    Ahem. The atmosphere is 14.7 PSI. 0 PSI, well, that would be space.
