I doubt you look back this far and that's O.K. I'm posting this for me. My Dad was a man of meager means but he always helped his buddies as he could. He loanded some cash to Bert to start a junk yard in St. Paul, Minnesota. Bert would always bring me coins and buckets of keys, this video reminded me of that when you were trying different keys, thank you for bringing that memory back

I must admit (bearing in mind I'm from England UK) I'm respecting these old Continentals a lot more. Some have been shipped over to the UK there's a market as people like hiring them out for Weddings and special events. Big respect to you for putting the work in it's so fulfilling to watch a car have a new lease of life put into it - think about it a 1967 car still ready to roll it's mind blowing when you think of all the eras it's been through

KZread algorithm suggests several of your old videos to me and I just finished watching this….lol Wow the difference of your videos 2 years ago and now is %1000 better…more lively & fun…using more cameras, kids, pets , the intro & ending, all of these so much better. I agree with you, doing your own edits is awesome 👏 Since you have a big shop with high ceiling, you could use your drone for another angle, use it like a tripod but high up, just put it up and let it take the video for several minutes unattended…also when you test drive the cars outside the yard, use the drone follow me mode feature…just a fun suggestion for more b-roll clips 🎥

Being around vintage cars my entire 53 years im always amazed how the swipe of glue - lubricant the men in the OLD days put around the bead still holds well enough to hold air after being flat for 20-40 years , my 79 rally sport has been in the woods 29 years, i just brought it home in September 2022 ,but ,,,point is three of 4 tires held air, they don't make em like that anymore and its a dead giveaway that the people working nowadays don't have any idea what its like to actually WORK they don't try ,they dont care ,they simply want their 40 hours pay with as little human contact as possible, im extremely proud of the way folks actually tried back in the day, its awesome how you rescue classic after classic, when there's no electricity for charging these idiot electric cars ,my 84 camaro, 79 camaro 87 cutlass Supreme and my 97 Sierra will still be rollin through my home sweet home ALABAMA, and yes im surprised that f150 even worked after you kept cranking it before you drained the sludge, you just can't beat the vintage vehicles bro ,yall have a great evening

My mom's mom used to buy these Lincolns. She was a little woman, but you'd better not be in her way. At least you know it runs, that's a big thing. Diddling all the little stuff is almost fun after trouble shooting the big stuff. One thing about the Lincolns they put dual exhaust on them from the factory and Cadillacs only had a single exhaust.

When bleading the brakes at the master cylender, use some clear hose from that point and put the other end of the hose into a clean catcher container , that way you don't spurt it all over the place at the same time you can tip the caught fluid back into the master cylender, no waste

Disk brakes on American cars before 1969 were four piston fixed caliper. The four pistons gave four chances to leak. The thin rotors were another problem. Sleeving the calipers, finding replacement parts, switching to some kind of modern fixed caliper replacement are whole fields of study and controversy. Also, be careful what wheel you put on it. Not all 15 inch wheels will clear the caliper. In 1969 most car companies went to a floating caliper design with one big piston that seldom leaked and thick rotors with an air gap between two surfaces. Some car guys would say to replace everything with early 70's single piston brakes components off a similar car. I think that car has a lot of potential. You can feel the quality of the full size cars, even a Galaxie, vs the compacts. You can cut diamonds in the back seat since the ride is so smooth. According to an iconic commercial, anyway. That steering wheel with the " Acorn" center is my favorite and was 1967 only. It met crash requirements. You are lucky your acorn stays on. The next year, better collapsing steering columns came out and the car makers went back to uglier steering wheels.

Little rough lol, defender is a little rough hahaha DUDE The whole car is rough LOL not a little but some lot but I dig it Good find 5mil per gallon if lucky when we came to America in 89 My dad's friend came in 86 and this Lincoln his dream car since childhood and finally he came to America and bought one!! With his last dollar when we got to America he showed it to my dad it was white and he took my dad for a ride My dad said when we left it was on F full gas tank where we came back it was empty and I said wow you went to Manhattan and he showed you the city?? He said no son we went to work and we came back and I said where? Oh 12 blocks away and 12 blocks back and we stopped at the supermarket!!! Ya it eats money like it's the last dinner he said 5 miles to the gallon his friend told him luckily back in 89 gas was $1.09 For premium otherwise the car ran bad if it was 87 gas which was $0.89.. 91 or 93 prefer but even at that price his friend couldn't keep the car to expensive on gas for a family car

Oh yeah you reminded me. The way I look at it (if you system don’t leak) you front reservoir is big enough to fill the calipers. If the fluid is low so aren’t the break pads. Put in new pads and when you push the calipers back in you fill you the reservoir.

I had a 66 , I would recommend taking the trans cooler lines off the rad and use a separate cooler, the trans lines rot in the radiator and sends coolant into the trans. Car runs and shifts better too.
