Great video. We have had more rain then snow so the tractor has stayed put. Most of the time we or I would welcome snow so I could get out and play but it is what it is. There is always next year, cheers and peace

Good day to you. Here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we get quite a bit of snow. When I encounter a situation where my front mounted blower wants to ride up when in the float position I just pull it out of float to get through the hard snow and then return it to float. It seems to work well for me. Good luck with your snow removal.

I have seen the channel "a ritterbit will do" spray the inside of his snow blower wit turtle wax spray to prevent build up of sticky snow. For him that seems to work really well. (better than wd40 or anything else)

It works I use it on my front and rear plows

That’s usually the snow we get in NE Ohio, almost all of it went North so far this Winter. Many years we get closer to 100 inches, so far only 12.

just in from 3.5 hrs blowing out driveways....and yet i still need to watch GP do his....calms the soul :)...wish i had a cab

You should rig up the chute rotation to an automatic timer and save yourself all that arm movement every 4 seconds

Thanks for the video. Always enjoy watching a Kubota work and moving snow is one of my favorites. Got to use mine to do the same thing today.

Hope your weekend is good GP. We got 8 inches overnight so I was plowing also today. Wet and heavy snow. Storm was overnight so was beautiful day to be out plowing.

Morning GP and nice video, clearing the snow before the next weekend dump, yes it is another weekend snow fall, is time well spent getting outdoors and in the fresh air. We are pushing 10 inches in the Ottawa Valley so you probably got more in the higher elevations, coffee and baileys all around waiting for the snow to stop and get out to the driveway. Here in New Hampshire we kept having little snow storms all week. I kept cleaning it up knowing we had this 8-14 coming. Still snowing here and we have about 4 hours to go. Probably will be about a foot total but it's the heavy kind. Gonna get some good seat time in. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Another note here Gord, there used to be a slogan that a manufacturer of a well known snow plow used to have printed on their plows, which read something like " Plow ahead of the Storm ".. So it kind of goes along with what you and I do, we clear the old snow before the new stuff falls. It's a good idea!

Boy if only that snowplough was auguring not just snow but instead corn or soy seed into your bin. Good profits for those grain farmers this year in-spite the high cost of fertilizers. The snowplough is doing a fantastic job of man, machine, and the snow.

Hello GP! I’ve really enjoyed watching many of your videos throughout the past year. Last week I traded my 2018 B2601 for a 2023 LX2610 with cab and 64” 3-point snowblower. I’m looking forward to taking delivery of my new rig soon. The 2601 had a BX5455HD front mounted snowblower which I really liked. I opted for the 3-point snowblower on the LX because I really missed having that FEL when moving snow. My driveway at my camp in Maine is only a few hundred feet so I’m hoping I won’t mind blowing snow in reverse. I find your videos very informative and I must say had a profound influence on my decision to trade up to the LX. Thanks so much for all the info, I’ll always be on the lookout for new videos on your channel!

Makes me wish we got snow like that and I would have gotten a cab. What we just got his maybe 4 inches but I can’t believe how heavy it is from the rain we got after. Shoveling was rough. My Toro 60v 26in snowblower struggled too. Tractor was easy 🙂

Hi GP. Something therapeutic I find watching snow clearing. Will be heading out after lunch to clean the latest accumulation that hit S and E Ontario. I suffer from OCD syndrome which according to my wife means Obsessive Cleaner of Driveway syndrome 😀. I am never happy until I see asphalt. Have a good week and thanks for the video.

Fun to watch someone else dealing with snow! Picked up an MK Martin Meteor pull-behind to clear the road to our property in Idaho. it's been an interesting learning curve. I've definitely sent a fair amount of gravel through the blower, and gone through a few shear bolts as I learned.

Hi GP, It's nice to see you having fun moving snow with your LX2610. I'm still waiting for snow to use my snow blower! We had about 2-3" of slush a few days ago and it instantly plugged up the blower, even after spraying a heavy coat of wax on the blower. I ended up just using the loader to push the slush off of the driveway. This is only the second time this year I have had to clean off the driveway and both times were just slush that the blower wouldn't work with. I'm glad you are having some fun with your tractor! I tried your tip from a recent video to use cruise when blowing. It worked great! I don’t know why I didn’t try it before. Another thing I do with my L4060 with front blower is to use the left and right brake pedals to help steer.

Hi Gord, Ihope the big storm finds you. We have already received a lot more snow than forecast on this one. I look forward to seeing how much you get. I know you have been talking a lot about finding the "sweet spot" as far as rpm and snowblower load. I'm sure you already know this, but the harder a tractor or diesel engine is pushed or if the engine begins to lug, the more black smoke and soot the engine will produce. A good "report card" on how well you are managing this is observing the amount of soot build up on the front of the blower. There will always be some build up but the less the engine is bogged down or lugged the less amount of soot there will be. Maybe a helpful indicator for you as well or at least food for thought. I always enjoy your videos :)

Fine job a well done production. Glad you took the time and effort to share . Nice to see no blow downs in your way. This winter here in Henry county Illinois has been very close to snow free. I swept off the drive way with a shop broom three times and used the Toro two stage three times. We've gotten much more rain than snow. Oh the farmers will be whining about moisture come June, But they wouldn't be farmers if they didn't complain about something. Best wishes for continued sucess

I am headed out now to plow the snow from last night. Sadly, I have no Kubota, so my Cub Cadet will be pushed to the limit yet again. With a little luck, I might be able to get one later this year, or perhaps next year.

I plugged up my chute by attempting to blow snow that was to sloppy, Will now have to thaw it to get that now frozen slop/ice cleared, than consider putting the bucket back on. Even with that hassle, it still beats attempting to do it all by hand, especially when the body is no longer capable.

Geez I need someone w this to do my driveway. My gravel driveway has been destroyed by plow guys running the blade to the ground. So disheartening.😖

GP how come you pile up the snow at the end of the driveway. Doesn't that make it difficult to see pulling out of the driveway?

What about prayer

Thank you for the tips. Been blowing snow for the last three years on my half mile driveway in northern Michigan. We haven’t had much snow and when we did, it would melt and had a lot of freeze thaw cycles. My gravel driveway wasn’t always frozen and these tips help me deal with that and I haven’t thrown much gravel. With the big storms coming through did not get much snow 6 inches? Didn’t not cross country ski much this year?

May I please offer a word of 'caution' for those of us who have birds frequenting our areas, i.e. bird feeders, and like clearing our driveways by snow blowing in the dark.. Those 'little guys' take shelter in the trees as the sun sets, and when we blow snow into those trees ,... well, you get the picture I'm sure.

Just curious, but do you try to blow the snow on the opposite side of the general direction the snow blows to minimize old snow, making higher higher drifts?

Hi GP do you drop ur blower mount and grease all the yokes during the season ? Just curios as I seen ur video of mounting and greasing it or can u grease the yokes when it’s mounted to ?

Hey good day Henry! It depends on how much I use. Either way, there are a couple I can not reach once it is mounted. In order to get them, I have to remove the sub frame off the tractor. I usually wait for a warm day to do it so the grease isn't thick and hard. Cheers!

Hey Gord! We got 14” of snow today! I don’t have a snowblower on my tractor, I use the loader bucket. The nice thing about a blower is that it distributes the snow very nicely, the loader just piles it up. I would have to add the mid-PTO to my tractor then get a snowblower $$$$! Maybe some day! I have fun with the loader though. Makes me think what I am going to do with all the snow! Also what camera do you use? I like the way it zooms in and out while you are working!

Morning Bob! I'll bet you are getting plenty of practice and experience running the loader and bucket. I am now running a DJI Osmo Action 3 in 4K. I am really impressed with it and it was less expensive than the GoPro. I create the zoom when I am editing the footage. Have a nice weekend Bob!

​@@newhampshire-bob1604 Ah yes, I've heard about that! Not sure where it stems from though, if tractors had issues compacting the material they worked on/with, they'd be useless. Properly configured, I've never had an issue with an inverted 3pt leaving compacted snow on passes, and never heard of anyone that did. In terms of functionality, a 3pt inverted snowblower is a heavy box blade. And because you're pulling on it with the 3pt, you get more traction (as per design). Figuratively and literally it'll scrape or leave as much snow as you want. The top link plays a role there, you're good with the frontloader, using that as reference the 3pt top link for 3pt snowblower (whether reversed or inverted) is like the tilt on your frontloader bucket, depending how it's adjusted you can shave or add to the layer. With inverted, shorter angles the snowblower down, so it scrapes. Longer = Angles the snowblower up, leaves snow. Plus, you don't have to bother with changing out the frontloader, which you're already adept at using, nifty for addressing areas you can't get with a blade, front or rear mounted blower. Worth considering ☺

Sorry but the skid shoes are too narrow even in "float" at the highest position. I'll be welding some 4" to 6" wide, 1/4" thick steel skies to the bottom of these narrow shoes. Did this to my walk behind, wow what a difference.
